finally I hated being an assitant to the Martin the TRUE HERO......now we are the BADASS hero that hopefully kills a final evil bossSouplex said:Does the whole "Dragonborn" thing mean we actually get to be the hero as opposed to the hero's assistant this time?
THIS...GAME......IS................OK.Andy Chalk said:First Skyrim Trailer Shows Off In-Game Hotness
The first in-game trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim [http://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-V-Skyrim-Pc/dp/B004HYIAPM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1298562980&sr=8-3] is out, and it is going to rock your morning and possibly your afternoon as well.
I don't want to throw off your vibe, so just go ahead and watch. We can talk about it later. Really, I'll wait.
Okay! So what do you think? In one sense it's very standard Elder Scrolls stuff: narration courtesy of a distinguished actor with an awesome voice, sweeping landscapes, bombastic music, third-person action and a world-ending cataclysm that can only be stopped by one man (or woman) of pseudo-divine birth. It's Oblivion Redux [http://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-IV-Oblivion-Game-Pc/dp/B000V9C9FO/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1298563217&sr=1-2], a technologically sexed-up expansion of the northern regions of Cyrodiil.

And you know what? I don't care! Nobody does! Based on this trailer, Skyrim will be exactly what we expect and that's just fine with me. It's The Elder Scrolls, and it's freakin' awesome.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim comes out on November 11, 2011 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

That's exactly what I'll be playing this on. And it's really not that expensive, why not get one in the next six months? You don't need an absolute top-of-the-line cutting edge video card, and going one or two steps down from cutting-edge will halve the cost of the whole PC. I just hope either they fix the poor-looking water before release, or the water looks better on PC.CATS FTW said:Imagine this game on a fully beefed up PC!

I dunno, I just love barbarian/viking-esque armour.
Vikings didn't have horns in their helmets. It leaves so much of the head unprotected (jaw, neck), it has no padding or chain. Structurally speaking it looks like a weak, rough sort of light helmet. There are many types of bascinet, morion or gothic helms that look a lot better, and would do the job a lot finer (bearing in mind you are trying to protect against dragon bite).
But we are not entirely in disagreement, I do like barbarian themed armour when it looks imposing, composite and unique.
Or burgonets! (throw in a search of those)
