First Skyrim Trailer Shows Off In-Game Hotness

Oh wow... This looks absolutely gorgeous... Absolutely, fan-frakin'-tastic gorgeous....
Ok, now I just *know* that I'll be breaking the piggy bank in November to beef up my rig, because I wanna run this gem as smoothly as possible. And the music, oh gosh, the music!! Mister Soule strikes again.
Can I be a giant pain, and complain about the hero being male *again*? Couldn't we have a female Valkyrie-esque hero?

As awesome as this looks, I'm still a little worried about the game. Yes this looks amazing, but so did Oblivion, all of the issues with Oblivion were game play issues. I'm hoping that the game keeps the combat system of Oblivion, but takes away the quick travel option and has a slit strider kind of thing, or at the very least make it more like the one in FO3 and FO:NV. Also hopefully there wont be anything equivalent to the Oblivion Gates thing, you know when you have to do like a million of them. In all I hope its a pretty Morrowind, so i don't have to turn it off and go back to Morrowind like I did with Oblivion.
You as the player are the hero, and you can choose between 1 of 9 races and either male or female. They always present Male heroes (when there is a choice) in their trailers as its the norm at the moment.Eleima said:

Wow, how fucking good was that music? I mean, wow. That's some quality tune, poor sod that had to learn the language for that but damn. This is pure fantasy hype music.
I love it. Athmosphere seems awesome, animations can't really be judged yet but looked solid apart from maybe the bow shooting (which sucked even back then, so they probably can't make it much worse). Scenery vibe was very nice. Highlight for me was definitely 1:10 - 1:30 when they show of the scenery and the music works overtime and does the amazing loops. Damn.
Bethesda just became the masters of game promotions. They've handled it exactly right. Announce it out of the blue with a phenomenal teaser, and bamm, less than a year waiting time so the game's always on your horizon. Controlled screenshot release, followed by massive print advertising in magazines. Now this awesome trailer. Man oh man. Textbook stuff. Day 1 buy.
Ps. Anyone else find it kinda funny how the dragon was firin' his lazer?
