The Thu'um was an awesome piece of fluff in the earlier games, I'm happy they are now in. But if they screw it up, I'm pissed. I doubt they will let us shout down fortresses, though, or call forth avalanches, like Tiber Septim did.

Still. So far, my opinion on the game is the same: cool music, shiny graphics, not much else to say about it. If I actually see some beautiful ingame-pictures, or hear anything interesting about the lore, then I'll be excited.

Edit: and I only just now realized they are releasing this on the 11th 11th. I see what you did there, Bethesda :D

Ah, Summerset Isles. I remember a vacation I took there once. Well, it wasn't a vacation as much as a crashing. But I did see this nice town called Daggerfall. Weird thing happened though, at night I slept with the window open and the night life just sounded like someone moaning the word "VENGENCE".

I hung around the area for a while, can't really remeber how I got home though, it's all a little blurry at the end. Oh well, what good vaction doesn't get a little hazy?

BAWWW NOT MORROWIND BAWWW

With that out of the way, I DO really hope that Skyrim is different from Cyrodiil in terms of culture. It's supposed to be inspired by Scandinavia, so I'm hoping to see those touches.

You as the player are the hero, and you can choose between 1 of 9 races and either male or female. They always present Male heroes (when there is a choice) in their trailers as its the norm at the moment.

*again*? last TES game you could choose your gender...
I meant the trailer; of course I know that we'll get the opportunity to pick our gender as PC.

I don't want to throw off your vibe, so just go ahead and watch. We can talk about it later. Really, I'll wait.
Thank you sir.

And it was awesome. I see the dragons aren't really big so fighting them can happen without me nipping at their toes. I'm not sure how I feel about being naturally that badass, but I guess it could be fun.

Can't wait to fight with a dragon!

Somehow I don't think this is going to address any of my real quibbles with the series- things like NPC interaction, the limitations of genuine player choice, or the continuous backpedaling on player power in attempts to prevent the game's internal systems from being broken.

But it does look awesome, the new powers and combat sound great, and I won't lie- my problems with TES aren't going to keep me from wanting this.

Wow, this rekindled the magic I felt in Morrowind.
A stunningly beautiful game with yet another part of Tamriel made unique.

Heavily anticipating this one.

Wow... the game looks so much better than oblivion i guess it has been five years but still the visuals are pretty amazing. I have to say that i am very excited for this game, even though I bet I will be disappointed when it does finally come out.

Ditching that stillborn gamebryo engine came years too late, but at least they finally replaced it... and with something from id, too.

It's like they're apologizing for all those years of their engine being a griefer.
It's not the id engine, it's one they made themselves, called "Creation".

I was under the impression that Skyrim was separate from Cyrodiil.
It's a separate country somewhere north of Cyrodiil.

I think he referred to the fact that it slightly reminded of Oblivion.
