Now I may be wrong, but I believe I heard that you could have one set of armour set as your "for show" gear whilst another set served as your actual stat armour.
I do so hope this is true, but I fear I'd never take off the Collector armour if it was.

In fact, this image [http://masseffect.bioware.com/resources/assets/media/screenshots/screenshot-061-p.jpg] seems to confirm it.

First they make futuristic guns with magnetic acceleration and infinite ammo. Then they realized they had to put some limitation on them, and added overheating, even though magnetic acceleration = no combustion = no overheating. Then they wanted to add the ability to reload, but because you have infinite ammo, you swap the heat sinks. Yeah, real smooth, Bioware. I would have preferred the tried-and-true ammo clips, to be honest.
And mass effect fields and magnetic acceleration generate no heat because....?

My computer has no combustion, it gets damn hot. Electronics can overheat as well you know.
it doesn't generate heat because there is no friction, a reason weapons overheat is that the bullets rub against the inside rifling creating friction, along with the heat of a small explosion of propellant. The reason your computer gets hot is from electricity heating up its components, hence heat-sinks and fans you need.

the way a magnetically fired weapon works is that it, well, uses magnets to propel the round, or in this case a mass effect generator, so the only heat being made would be friction, and even then it would be negligible. [using our world sciences here]

Also, I swear to god if you run out of thermal clips and you are no longer able to fire, I wont play this game. Thats what I liked about the first one, yes the game says you would eventually run out of ammo since your using a solid block of metal as a source, but god damn Bioware, couldn't you at least make us change THAT instead and kept a shred of continuation?

however, I might take a better look if it actually keeps it kinda like the first one, as in if you run out of said clips you would use the old system and have to wait for it to cool down, and the clips are just to keep a somewhat pro-longed fire rate.
I love how you're defining this as if ME fields really do exist and a modern day computer analogy is valid. Look, from what I've been able to gather, Mass Accelerators =/= Magnetic propulsion. It says multiple times that, in order to create an ME field, you need to run an electric current through element zero (eezo from here on), which both makes the bullets denser than they should be for their size and changes the density of the air in front of and behind the bullets. That requires 3 separate mass effect fields (dense air behind bullet, barely dense air in front of bullet, denser bullet), which would use a hell of a lot of eezo and electricity. That much electricity (and that ignores that we don't know what sort of heat eezo makes) by itself would make a lot of heat, and that's for each bullet.

Moding appearance is shallow and moot...I want to go through different armor sets and find the ones that let me install 4 or 6 mods/add ons to it :p

WEll lets see energy transfer=heat
mass displacement=energy transfer=heat
magnetic fields=energy transfer=heat

If people refuse to understand this simple conspect.....shove im out a air lock and let them breath in the richness of space.....

I'm on 360; we didn't get your fancy mods.

I realised this slightly too late, but couldn't be bothered tweaking my post - Frankly, my point is still valid and still stands, a vanguard against the weathering storm.

Anyway, the Spectre gear had what, two or three slots each and that made your Shepard somewhere on the left side of God.

Is cool more slots and slighty deeper tweak system is what I R crave, also I want to mob the moon bugie I want to make it a hover craft change it main weapons, tweak shields, engine, jump jets,power/engery and armor, ect, ect, ect!!!

My main complaint was trudging from place to place, map wise and the simple lack of ememies
the pacing was broken(how I've always wanted to say that) and the sidequests and vehicles were annoying and pointless. and don't get me started on the achievments

I thought the combat in the first game was great.

I also didn't mind the elevators much. They were a reasonable amount of time, playing on my PC.

The planet hoppin' did annoy me that much, because I knew the secret to the planet hopping. Which was, you really didn't have to do it all. I did a few and then stopped.

I can only conclude I have a bit different tastes than most, or I'm a freak or some-such...!

Mass Effect 2 is going to kick all sorts of butt. I can't wait.

I know this is really odd, but the main thing I'm excited about is the ability to wear clothes rather than armor. I always saved Onyx armor for the three humans in the crew, taking up inventory slots because, dammit, when you report to the Alliance military, you wear your standard issues! If there's a good military uniform, I can just wear that if I have to report back.

That said, I'd prefer this fix: Onyx armor is poor at low levels (to encourage you to upgrade) but awesome at high levels (so when you hit the endgame, you're wearing the iconic armor.)

I personally never had a problem with the combat so I'm semi-anxious to see their "fix". As for the elevators, I listened to the news so I never really noticed how long the rides were.

I don't know what to think about the new combat because, unlike most people, I actually quite enjoyed the combat in Mass Effect. I treated it like a top-down RPG and paused the game most of the time to figure out a strategy to kick ass. Sometimes it felt a little stilted and the lack of ability to que up commands added to this but overall I found it quite satisfying. Here's hoping that the team mate AI has been improved from the wall-bumping awkwardness of the first, because if it hasn't, I don't see myself playing it as a shooter like Bioware wants me to.
I agree. I liked the combat just fine, in fact I thought it was fun. Still, I'm glad to see BioWare taking the complants of their fans so seriously. If only certain other companies did the same...
