From watching the video this game may have what I was looking for in some of the newer zelda games on ds. I like the look of the chick she looks like a martial artist or something of that ilk.

So what do you think?

It's almost like they just used Minish Cap's sprites, with a few custom or modified ones. But according to the kickstarter page, it's all original work.

Ill check it out at the very least though Im not sure about supporting yet another kickstarter. However, for me, the discussion revolving around a female link wasnt simply because of the desire to play a female in a Zeldaesque game. The discussion was about taking a traditionally male character (with varying degrees of effeminate traits) and turning him into a female character. As nintendo has retconed the Zelda series in recent years relying on a reincarnation and an alternate timeline theme for the games Ive always found the idea of one of the characters that just happened to be born another gender was interesting (not to mention the thought of Ganondorf being changed into Ganon, the physical representation of pure evil, also becoming genderless). Its one of the few things that is at all interesting about the Zelda series since Nintendo has abandoned the story line they discontinued with Orcarina of time. It hasnt gotten me to buy a zelda game since but that doesnt make the idea any less interesting.

It's a blatant Zelda rip off, but it looks like a really good Zelda rip off. I'm desperate for good 3ds games to justify my purchase, so I'll keep an eye out.

That said, I didn't like the female Link idea just because I wanted a female character (though that would be interesting). I also wanted to see them shake up a classic franchise. I wanted to see them tackle the story from a new angle. Having a female protagonist would only be part of that.

character looks like a rip off of Korra from the Avatar: Legend of Avatar.. only not as good. besides, it doesn't really change things for gamers that wrongly wanted Link to become a girl for no reason.. this game sin't linked to any official zelda game nor does it have anything to with the upcoming zelda game.. whatever it's called

I think I like the concept art better than the actual game art, but then again, I was never into the 2D Zelda games. I don't have any money for Kickstarter projects, but I wish them luck all the same.
