Forgive me for asking this but, what does "Gone Gonzo" mean anyway?

I have seen this title on myself and many others on this website for years now even before I registered.

And I still don't get what this Title mean or if I can change it.

I remember there used to be a user called Gonzo Gamer, so his name always read Gonzo Gamer Gone Gonzo. It was a sad day when he broke 5000 posts.

Second that. Did a very good job of keeping to the spirit of the original (no pun intended).

Likewise, their version of Treasure Island is perhaps the best adaptation I've seen. Which it shouldn't be, given it's the Muppets, but still.

The astute among you will notice that ALL the default titles are references to writing/journalism in some form or another, or are journalistic terms/jargon;

I'm guessing the joke is because this site's official name is The Escapist "Magazine", and so they thought it was funny to give every forum randomite a journalistic title.

The joke got lost on too many people though, it seems.
Still, I guess "Anonymous Source" makes for some pretty funny looking spambots at times, when they're trying to peddle their various wares.

Yeah I just assumed it was a reference to what Hunter S. Thompson codified as Gonzo Journalism. So I extrapolate from that notion that once we hit that title we're obligated to post having consumed some of the same drugs as Hunter did.

Never watched Muppet's Christmas Carol......or any of the Muppets shows in general with the exception of the Muppet Babies cartoon and I was meh at that cartoon even as a little kid.
