Okay. I feel that I must ask.

Is there a reason for the decision to have multiple links very close to the subject line when making a new topic on this webpage, and having the forum update every time you move around? On many other forums, and websites, if you press the back button, you move back. On this site instead you load the page you were on earlier.

This has the consequence of it being very easy to accidently press one of the links of you're going to change the title of a thread you're posting, and if you do, going back will send you to a blank page, instead of, as on other forums, just send you back to your post.

The reason I ask is because I was stupid enough to just write a post of a few pages without writing it in word or something first, and copying it here. So I lost it. And went a little nuts, being the emotional wreck that I am. I just don't seem to learn to do that.

Anyway, is there a reason for that? If not, is it too much if I suggest changing that? It should lower the stress on your server, having people go back to the page already stored in their memory instead of loading it anew too, I think.

Yeah, perhaps. But this is a discussion forum, people should be able to answer, or post something spontaneously, without having to do a lot of work. It's supposed to promote discussion, after all, and not be just for jerks like you taking every oppurtunity to nag on other people, or people willing to write long essays.

Seriously, what is your deal? You accomplish nothing by writing that. You do nothing but kick someone when they're down, it solves nothing, it doesn't help anything. The only point of your post is to be hurtful, to berate me for failing, and admitting to it. What to you get out of this?

Teaches people to use correct grammar. I mean, you cannot ignore the scribbley red line on Word

[small](I'm pretty sure its unintentional, get over it OP)[/small]

You asked why they have the site set so that you lose your work if you hit the wrong button. I honestly think that they do this so you will pre-type your response in Word. This gives you a better sense of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. This is, technically, a magazine. It encourages writing and writing properly. I did not mean to offend, I meant to answer. And I did answer. You took it the wrong way.

Sorry. I tend to overreact when I'm being suicidal. I should probably try to not be social for a few hours.

And no, the site is a magazine, the forum is a discussion forum, a magazine is a one-sided medium, while a forum is intended for discussion, from several different parties.

If that was the real reason, then there are better ways to ensure it than to make people lose their work, in a very frustrating manner. I realise most people tend not to react as violently as I did, but meeting such a setback, losing my work, when I'm really poring my soul into something, it tends to hit hard. And emotional wreck as mentioned above.

Edit: There wouldn't happen to be an admin or someone who knows what they're talking about willing to chip in?
