No, nothing to be worried about, because Japan adapting western material has always worked out so well in the past... [http://www.cracked.com/article_18655_9-beloved-characters-made-horrifying-by-japan_p1.html] :p

Jokes aside, it will be interesting to see how it works out.

I just hope they don't have to much Japanese influence in them. Like how most of them take place in Japan..
Eh if they make it well enough I won't care all to much.

I might just watch G4 again before they became a reality tv channel with trashy shows like Cops and Cheaters played over and over again.

Damn, ninja'd. Although it kinda looks like that it some of the scenes from the trailer anyway. Either that or an alien, from Alien.

I really enjoyed Gotham Knight, it'll be fun to see an entire series dedicated to anime-style western comic book characters.

Well, this being a Marvel property, at least they hopefully won't stiff on the voice actors if it comes in dubbed. That said, it makes some measure of sense to watch it in Japanese anyway - it's always a little iffy the entirety of Japan speaking English after all, however we justify it, and Stark's likely not all that averse to learning it for the sake of so massive a project I'd imagine, for instance >.>

I saw the anime Wolverine and he looks like a Death Note reject.
So wait until the next wolverine trailer arrives and then piss and moan. They also didn't say the original Ironman was a Prototype but it's clearly not the Ironman from here.
Yes Wolverine did look pretty bad. Honestly though it's sad to see the Ironman one change so much. Iron man may have actually worked as an anime. The original trailer actually looks pretty good, the new 3D style one is very meh... Any other series just isn't ready for that much change, Wolverine's new look from that trailer still haunts my nightmares.

Wait you meen they're making an anime based off of a decent American live action show? Why? They've never done this before......

Well, it looks okay. The only reason I'll watch it is because Iron Man is just that bloody awesome. But in my opinion, I think western and eastern movies and animations should just stay way the fuck apart. Some times it can work, but most of the time it won't. I'm happy just watching eastern animé, and then watching western[footnote]And by western, I mean Spongebob Squarepants[/footnote] separately.

I'd be easier to sway if Tony Stark would stop drenching his face in olive oil. Some of Madhouse's series are great, but it's hardly thanks to their animation style...

As for everything taking place in Japan... I think I prefer that to the japanese attempting to portrait... well, any other nation.

Yeah... So now we'll just have to wait for the fan-fic *Shivers*

OT: Iron Man looks pretty cool. Wolverine seemed really silly, but maybe tolerable so long as his personality isn't the same as his new looks would lead us to think. X-Men and Blade i haven't seen the trailers for yet, but since it's those two i'm guessing not even Japanimation can screw it up.

G4 has lost a lot of cred over the years. Literally hacking out all the material that made it unique and interesting in a bold-faced attempt to be like Spike TV in every way but name. I don't know who the channel changed hands to, but they obviously had no pride in their own offerings and lacked a little thing called dignity. X-play is the last granule of that golden age and more or less absorbed most of the gaming content that used to be in other shows.

But perhaps this is a new dawn for G4. They are bringing over anime specifically made for the east. The shows sound interesting enough in concept, even recognizing the cast are not native to Japan. Except that I really don't like that they switched to a CG armor instead of the all animated one in the teaser we saw last year.
