I was watching the news not, fox but clicking channels aimlessly when i stumble on Fox News. They were doing nostop coverage about how NBC and other news stations and how they must be "in bed" with the president becuase there is an apparent commercial that slams obama and his health care plan.

It seems stations like NBC and CNN wont showw the commercial and they went on and on and on and on and on about these stations. Not thinking they are also guilty of not showing aaaaaannnnnnything close to resembling anything goood or nice about Obama. Just alot of blah blah blah socailist, blah blah blah destroying america, blah blah blah America doesnt like him or his health care.

I was begining to wounder is Fox News a realiable News Station given when theyre not bashing obama or be stupid , they do actually report news. Some high speed chases, drug busts. Are they to be quoted or watched. How good do you think they are.

By the way the Daily Show and Colbert Report are freaking awesome.

Fox News is billed as an American Conservative news station. Most U.S. Mainstream news agencies lean to the liberal left. Fox News also seems heavily biased towards their views and as such it is more important that they show their view of an event rather than objectively report on it. If you do a Google search you will find plenty of stories about people accusing Fox News of mis-stating to just plain making things up.

Now I am not saying that other news agencies don't do the same, but Fox seems to have more occurances than others.

My favorite was after one of the MTV awards shows where Sasha Baron Cohen was 'dropped' from the ceiling and landed on top of Eminem with his ass in Eminem's face. Fox was saying how tasteless that was and how things like that shouldn't be on TV, going on about how demeaning it was. A few days later Fox has women in scantily clad lingerie playing football on their news, with one of the reporters saying how that was one of the best segments they ever did.

Most conservatives think Fox News is great and wonderful, most liberals think it's garbage.

Too true, too true. I don't see why everybody supports Obama the way they do. I actually think he hates America. Look at his background with Rev. Wright, the man who preaches "Death to America!" And the way Obama feels the need to apologize to the rest of the world, about how terrible America is.

He screwing up America.

They are pretty close, if not, the bottom rung of news sources. I think they believe it makes the edgy or the "rebels" against the "liberal media" agenda. Which is completely nonsense. They are crap news no matter which way you look at it.
What he said. I'm surprised they're still allowed to attach the word "News" to it.

We don't have Fox out here. When I was in England tho, we watched (sort of) BBC 2 I think.
It was terrifying. They were talking about the war out in some mid-eastern country. Some old man mourning his family who were killed by a bomb.
And then, an Ice-Cream commercial right in our face. I almost lost faith in humanity.

Fox aren't reliable. Go to Sky News or BBC
the funny part is that SkyNews is owned by News Corp, who owns Fox News. Rupert and his son both gave speeches on how the BBC limits their ability to really report the news cause the BBC offers it for free and reports it fairly and has all these rules on it

Fox News is as bad as NBC and CNN, when Bush was in power they were saying how awesome he was and how great he was for America and such

He right. Obama preacher did say how America is awful and all the "white" Americans are racists. He also "God damn america" just because of something. All I can say is, if you don't like America, that is fine, but don't live here if you hate it. Go somewhere else. and I HATE! how he is going around saying sorry to every fucking country for America. It just showing weakness Imo. Did any other country say sorry for when the did something bad? hell no.

Well I think that Fox is the greatest and most reliable news station on the air. Their coverage on the sex scene in Mass Effect really changed my life. The amount of time that they spend on research their topic before they air it is astounding!

This is sarcasm for those of you who don't know your head from your ass...

You've only just started wondering?

I live in England, but the reports about their constant cock ups appear all over the net. Let's not forget the infamous Mass Effect thing where they did literally no research on the game, except watch a trailer. They still haven't apologised (which is even better because it makes them look even more like twats).

And from what I gather most Americans see they're the worst of the worst in terms of real reporting.

... after the court declared that the FCC policy against falsification that Fox violated was just a policy and not a "law, rule, or regulation" ...
Fox may have set the precedent, but all cable news stations are following. They are entertainment first and foremost, accuracy is somewhere further down their priority list, if present at all.

Newspapers at least made efforts to ensure accuracy and integrity, but they're dying out as people prefer juicier falsifications with flashy presentation.
