It's the very basics, but so far it emulates the MMO *really* well.

I don't know if a lot of people are gonna like it, but pretty much the only mechanic in FFXIV that's pure gameplay contrivance is levels, and they took those out of the TTRPG. Seeing a Japanese RPG mix with the average western ttrpg fan is gonna be fascinating
