Today, for you:

Absolute Drift: Zen Edition & Rage 2

Absolute Drift: Zen Edition & Rage 2 will be free at Epic Games Store until February 25th at 5PM (your local time). As always, you can get the game through the link above, or straight from the Epic Games launcher. Either way, the game will be added directly to your Epic Games library. Keep in mind having 2FA active on your account is mandatory to nab giveaways on the Epic Store.
This is a drifting experience like no other. Journey from apprentice to master as you hone your skill in a gorgeous minimalist world. Push yourself to the limit on drifting tracks and wild mountain roads until you finally master the art of drifting.
RAGE 2 brings together two studio powerhouses – Avalanche Studios, masters of open world insanity, and id Software, creators of the first-person shooter – to deliver a carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.
Have a look if interested, and enjoy.

Next week's freebie at the Epic Game Store will be Sunless Sea starting February 25th.

What the...? I thought Rage 2 was still a high profile title? Why are they giving it away?

*ecosia-searches to Wikipedia*

...yep, 2019, so recent still. I thought Epic were down to giving away competent, mid-budget titles, not competent, recent high-budget titles.

Rages 2 flopped I think, so there were probably lots of extra codes lying around.

That's what I thought too, since it was a sequel to a game with a decent but not great reception with few real unique elements. Wikipedia said the sequel got middling review scores as well so it holds up that few people would be interested in it.

Rage 2 has really fun gunplay, but boring story/environment/character and so on. The trailer make it look like its trying to do borderland style humour but it has very few jokes in it for some reason, it even has the boss introduction card.... minus the joke. So I'd give it a shoot for free if you want some of that nice gunplay.

Giveaways of AAA on the Epic Store generally come in three varieties, A) older game, B) flopped game, or C) game with alternative means for revenue than unit sales. Or a mix. Rage 2 is arguably all 3 depending on your cutoff for old game. Could be worse tho, your game could be Remnant: From The Ashes and become a freebie slightly less than a year after release.

Remnant was a freebie because they released DLC at the same time, they probably hoped they could get people to play it and buy the DLCs.

Just tried it, very pretty. Kinda grisly opening with how the protagonist gets the armor.
