Thanks! Really enjoying Overcooked co-op right now.
Question, you and friends or you and Randos? Just curious, I heard Overcooked is roadblocked for singleplayer and wondered what kind of experience jumping in with randos might be like. I can't imagine it would work well.

I've just been playing local co-op with my girlfriend. Singleplayer allows a 2nd player to join in/out at any point just by plugging in another controller. I guess this makes the game easier in theory but I'm not 100% sure. You can play singleplayer on your own, in which case you get teamed with a duplicate of your player character; you press a button to switch control between the two characters, leaving the other one idle (or preferably occupied with a task like chopping food or dishwashing). I didn't play it that much but the overall feeling is that it turns into a different kind of game. Whatever time you save by having an extra pair of hands you waste during the communication/reaction process, and the prevailing mood is panicked and humorous. Playing on your own shaves time if you're disciplined about it but limits you phyisically and has a more puzzle-y feel to the levels.
