Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will be free at Epic Games Store until December 23rd at 5PM (your local time). As always, you can get the game through the link above, or straight from the Epic Games launcher. Either way, the game will be added directly to your Epic Games library. Keep in mind having 2FA active on your account is mandatory to nab giveaways on the Epic Games Store.

This is a surprisingly alright game. Like a slightly easier/simplified Wasteland/Xcom style gameplay. But is weirdly way more sincere, adult and self-serious than one would expect from seeing anthropomorphic duck hog protagonists on the main cover. To the point where if a child wandered in the room while you were playing and asked to have a go, there's be a mildly awkward yet amusing moment where you'd have to say "sorry kiddo, this game with talking duck and husky hog adventures is for serious adults only, now go back to your room, it's way past your bedtime."

Also it has a secret frame rate unlock trick where if you change any setting and save, it removes the 30fps lock. I'm not complaining tho, plz don't patch it out devs! (Unleeeeeeeesssss the patch is to remove the lock entirely? Eh?? Eh? )
