Let's start with a game that by now could be considered "Retro". The game is Freelancer, a mouse and keyboard controlled space flight and trading simulator with an EXTREMELY active modding community. People are still playing it and mods are still being created for it despite the game being released ten years ago in 2003.

BEWARE! POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD! (Honestly I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to explain the plot without revealing spoilers, so if you want to find out the story yourself, go buy the game, it should be pretty cheap nowadays.) In Freelancer, you play a freelancer named Edison Trent who was born on Planet Leeds, Leeds System, Bretonia territory, but he prefers Trent. You start out on Planet Manhattan after escaping from the space station Freeport 7 that was destroyed by an unknown force. Only you and a few other people managed to survive. One man, named Lonnigan, is the only person you hopes survives his injuries, merely because he owes Trent 1 million credits. With only 500 credits in your Neural Net account, not even enough to buy a ship, you head to the bar to look for a job. There you meet the Commander of the Liberty Security Force (LSF) "Juni" Jun'ko Zane. Anyways, you end up unintentionally interrupting a conversation Juni was having with a diplomat. After telling her that you're one of the Freeport 7 survivors, she tells you to meet her at the equipment trader. Once there, she offers to give you a "Starflier" Light Fighter, the weakest ship in the game, and a job to escort a freighter convoy to Planet Pittsburgh. Once you leave the planet, you will link up with the mission CO Michael King (Better known as "King") and the game will truly begin...

On to the problems the game has! Thankfully there aren't that many problems, and those that are present are easily remedied by mods. The main problem most people have (From what I've heard at least) is that the game get's REALLY boring once you've beaten it as once you've beaten it you get to free roam around the galaxy. The only things you can do now are explore, trade, and do missions. It gets monotonous quickly and you end up loosing interest. I do however recommend the game despite this, the story is very interesting and the more you learn the more questions you have. Most of the answers to those questions have been answered by players but there's no official lore for the game. Out of all of the mods that are available for the game, I would recommend the Discovery Mod, the Crossfire Mod, the Underverse Mod, the Freeworlds Mod, the Monkey Universe Mod, and the Shadow of Fear Mod. (Be aware I've never played the Shadow of Fear mod so I don't have any firsthand experience with that one, the rest are all great although I'm pretty sure Monkey Universe isn't having anything done to it anymore)

Yes, I'm aware it's a short review, but kindly be a little lenient, I'm still new to this.

You should probably include the title of the game in the title of the thread. Also, learn to use paragraphs. Three big ones isn't going to hold anyone's attention. I didn't even bother with your content because of it, but I might get to that if you actually tell me what you're talking about and you take a breath now and then.
