"Frumpy Mom" Responds To Attacks

She calls herself Frumpy mom, said games were made by lord Voldermort, no sources to support her evidence, her evidence did not support her conclusions and her conclusions were stupid to begin with.

Also, she states that "Video game obsession is a serious illness in this country that many people recognize."
I did a quick google search to find evidence to show how many people actually suffer this, what I found instead was laughable.
"In 2007, the American Psychological Association reviewed whether or not video game addiction should be added in the new DSM to be released in 2012. The conclusion was that there was not enough research or evidence to conclude that video game addiction was a disorder." Wiki search.
That is correct, No one recognizes Video Game addictions as an actual illness. Her claim was completely made up.

It's obvious that she doesn't take herself seriously, so why are we?

Meh. Negative publicity is still publicity, and her blog is enjoying more hits than ever, I'd wager. I vote we all ignore the obvious attention-whore. The more press you give her, the more people her ignorant/misinformed statements will reach.

Ummm, Most of the poeple I've met that play video games (Not causally, but as a hooby) usually have excellent critical thinking skills and are very intelligent.

I got bored and signed up to that website, made a blog, and posted a rather rough copy of a write-up I did in 20 minutes or so.

I assume it was the same way with the last thread. She probably Googled herself to see if her trolling had any effect, came upon the site, and decided that yes, yes it had.

God Damn I hate her. I bet she is one of those people who condemn video games from the simple fact that she can't understand the medium even though she has never played one before(pacman doesn't count)oh yeah and I spend more than 5hours a day playing videogames and I got all A's and B's last semester and got nothing lower than an 87% (highest being 98% in US history) on all of my mid terms now unless ur asian or a complete *****(which she is) those grades should suffice...

Edit: also there have been studies done that show video games improve critical thinking and problem solving...

Her accusations about games teaching kids nothing are completely false. I aced every single art history test I took through playing Civilization IV and Persona 3 & 4.
