Guys, stop being immature and just fucking admit it - games can potentially be bad for kids when they base their entire free time on them. The woman has a point.

Of course outright blaming the video games industry is not a way to go. Remember there are also other forms of entertainment, and ultimately it's the parents who raise up their kids to blame for them being sucked into the virtual world.

Common consensus these days is that videogames are bad for kids. However, in the middle ages, common consensus around the world was that the earth was flat.

The Earth was known to be round far before the middle ages. Hell, the Greeks figured out the exact diameter in something like 237B.C.E. The only real question was what exactly existed within it.

It's also not really common consensus that video games are necessarily bad, but whatev.

ugh, this is pitiful. i spent 10 mins. reading through some of the comments on her page. she is not bothering to listen or reply to any of the more "intelligent" criticism. instead she just calls most gamers pathetic.

She should also look in to the statistics involving levels of Education and Crime among youth since the advent of Video Games. Now, I know, correlation does not equal causation, but, if Video Games were the plague upon our young, as she seems to think, then would the statistics show a rise in crime and a decline in education?

Perhaps that would involve too much critical thinking on her part. It's probably much harder for her to admit she's wrong than to stop spouting his lies and misconceptions.
