Ever played a game that at some point may have made you want to hurl your controller across the room, (Wii games in which that's required don't count) turn off the system, and do something else? Times when the Witch spawns just in front of the safe room for the 3rd time in Left4Dead, most level 6 activities in Saint's Row 2, the spells you cast in FF tactics failing AGAIN while your enemy shows off their flawless arcane mastery, almost every single part of Armored Core 4, monsters patiently taking turns to chew on your face, immediately grabbing you the moment another lets go in Dead Space, etc.

My most vein-bursting experience within memory was the last stretch of uncharted 2, the part where you're running across the crumbling bridge. It took me about 30 tries over 4 occasions to finally see the other side. Most of the time, the problem was being a hair off in timing or angle with a jump and getting to watch Drake slowly pull himself up onto a platform that was no longer there by the time he did. When that DIDN'T happen, I was always (except for the very last time) sucked into the pit by an involuntary, unnatural jump from Drake. Within about a second, he'd float about a foot off the ground standing vertically, quickly turn horizontal in the same position and plummet into the abyss, looked like something out of a Grudge movie.

What irritations have you guys seen that strongly urged quitting and/or gamefaqs?

Quicktime moments. Not a bad idea in Resi 4, bad in most other games, and possibly the single most psychosis-inducing part of Mercenaries 2.

L4D2's Realism Mode pretty much made me quit the game. A mode that has a decent idea of making the game mode follow the classic zombie horror theme. But some of the levels are just terrible for it, and even some of the more do-able levels have a section that is so incredibly long that you end up running out of ammo/health early on and the AI seems to do nothing but constantly punish you. And its not the special infect, nor a tank or a witch that ends up being your death, instead it is always a random common zombie that spawns somewhere behind and sneaks up on the ground and just bashes every one's heads in.

Edit: I'm talking about Realism Expert mode.

More than 10 minutes of Modern Warfare 2 is great way of questioning the existence of any religious figure, no matter how old.

Calumon: Watching Jack try and play Digimon Battle is funny! He always loses to other people! ^^

Two spring to mind: the favela level in MW2, and bringing down the Star Destroyer in Force Unleashed.

Modern Warfare 2's online community regulary make me do "fuck this" moments, either with me quitting or pulling out as much explosives as possible.

CoD4, the fucking TV Station lobby on hardest setting, "Fuck this" is the mildest thing that comes to mind about that bloody level.

The Latin American level in Modern Warfare 2

I thought the game was a cheap piece of Michael Bay Generic FPS before, and afterwards I thought much the same, only it was stupidly difficult (which is NOT the same as challenging, dear developers) and I got a headache from the aggravation

The battles in FF13 can take up to about 40 minutes sometimes, so when you've just slogged through a guys health and he cheap-shots you and you have to try again, lot's of swearing ensues.

Napoleon Total Tar:- the fact that the enemies cannons seem to have pinpoint devastation on my men, whereas my artillery has the accuracy of trying to piss into a shot glass during a hurricane.

Just Cause 2:- IS IT NECCESSARY FOR THIS MANY HELICOPTERS???!! Honestly, Ive had 6 on me at once at one point, is there any need for that level of overkill?

You mean the bridge at the end? I think I beat it on my first try.

The parts of Uncharted 2 I hates was every single fucking mission in snow. I don't know why, but their just so damn boring!

Online gaming does this to me often. I can barely play anything other than Red Orchestra or Left 4 Dead 2 anymore.

That and the incredibly difficult Timesplitters 2 challenges. Trying to hurl a brick through 36 windows in 18 seconds.

Waaaaaah.
Yeah but don't you unlock the brick as a weapon after that?

If so it's sooooooooooooo worth it

Just now on World of Warcraft, I was doing VoA25 and some pretty Rogue legs dropped. There was 1 other Rogue in the raid, and he won it. I then looked at his spec, and he had the PvP spec, and was wearing full PvP gear. He did the least amount of damage, even below the fucking tanks and yet the raid leader was happy in him having them. I did think "fuck this", and went back to PvP. Seriously, if it's one thing I hate about MMO's it's the PvE roll system. I'd rather do PvP and earn my own fucking gear, not rely on magical numbers and the bosses inability to attack anyone but the tank. Blarg, fucking PvE.

Also, my Xbox makes really loud noises. I'd like to be able to turn it on when I'm on my PC so I can see if anyone comes online, but NO, it makes loud ass fucking noises instead. So I occasionally think "fuck this" and hit it until it shuts the fuck up.
