Evil, faceless corperations or governments being the main villains or/while a bunch of hip, young and charismatic freedom fighters take the part of the protaganists (Half Life 2, Resident Evil, Alien, Army of Two, Red Faction, Unreal, Armoured Core, Mirror's Edge, Final Fantasy 7...the list goes on).

While I'm fully (and shamefully) aware that the 'stick it to The Man' theme is popular to the youth of today (I should know, I'm one of them) but it has been done to death now. Some people get tired of hearing about space marines and I get tired of hearing about X Corp plot to make the masses suffer and obey so they can line their pockets with gold/gain power.

DLC all of it, I want it gone. Ever since it started it's been used as an excuse to release unfinished games. And then force people to pay for for the rest of it.

Scaling levels... All right 40 lvls later now to have fun with some bandits. SHIT runaway, runaway, runaway.

Games that emphasize customization, and then have NPC only items.
DLC should be done properly, like, say, oblivion did. An honest to god expansion pack, so that console players get things too. It should not be used to release half a game early. And if it is, that half a game better cost $30, or, the game should come with a code to get the DLC for free.

Oh, and FPS makers need to realise that people need their brains to survive. So when I shoot somebody in the head, they need to die whether I'm using a sniper rifle, M16 or a nine millimetre pistol. Exceptions to say, a FPSRPG like Fallout, but there is no excuse for it in COD4. Or W@W.
