Game Music on your iPod

...or other MP3 Player.

What I mean can go two ways: Are there any game tracks (including ambience) you enjoy listening to out-of-game, or are there any games that have music that truly seem like they weren't in a game, but a movie or similar.

I know that many games have extremely high budgets for music, and that professional bands and composers work on them, but there are some tracks that blow me away.

The World Ends With You, Mirror's Edge, and Metal Gear Solid tracks played on my playlist as I was commenting on something, so those see, like the best immediate examples.

Oh, and do I need to state that I'm removing anything "DDR" or "Guitar Hero" -esque from that question. Obviously those are intended to have memorable music.

I have several Zelda tracks, and a band called the mini-bosses which recreates retro game music with guitar and drums and the like.

lets see, I know I have some Final Fantasy stuff, some Bioshock stuff, Katamari Damacy.. hmm.. have piles of remix stuff from the Overclock Remix Project [http://www.ocremix.org]. Oh, and some Warcraft and Starcraft songs.. and World of Warcraft also.. nice music in those...

True, both games have great sound tracks. I prefer Harry Gregson-Williams' work on mgs 2 3 and 4 to the halo sound tracks, which i feel use the same theme almost to a point where is gets monotonous. Even so, its still quality music, with great orchestrstion

I agree with that to no end, though I still have the original and mjolnir mix with me. Music that seems out-of-place always makes me smile. One of the reasons I loved Bioshock was how it used music to lull you into a false sense of security via intrigue, and then BAM! Big Daddy.
