Games and dreams

Hmm, I have many dreams about games but I usually forget them quick enough.

However, when I first watched Zero Punctuation, I watched them more or less over 3 days. At the end of that I had a dream where my dream as it was happening was being reviewed by Yahtzee. I must say that it was very funny.

if i play halo for too long the next day i see a radar that works in the corner of my view. i call it after-halo

Occasionally I have dreams where I think it's a video game but it's not...

But I do have frequent "nightmares" in which I log onto the Escapist and see that I have one new message and it's a system message telling me I've been suspended for something... and this has happened more than once.

I always have dreams when I'm in COD:WAW. I'm usually Pvt. Miller...And I always die

I had a couple of dreams in which I was my guild wars main character. My head on it's body. Once fighting a horde of charr on a battlefield and in the other, I was somehow trapped in that movie eight legget critters..or wtvr it's name is..dunno what that has to do with guild wars . The awkward thing was that my main character is female..

I had one after playing Firefight in Halo ODST. I don't remember the dream exactly, but when my wife woke me up (after finishing her runthrough of the campaign), I told her I couldn't get up until I found my pistol, while frantically running my hands all over the bed searching for it. I believe I had concerns about waves of grunts that were coming at me.

"I need my pistol! Where's my pistol?"
"What pistol?"
"My automag! I can't find my automag!"

I once had a dream where i was playing multiplayer COD5 with my brother. We where camping and shooting anyone which stumbled round the corner. When we finished that i picked up a weapon that looked like a PrTS 41, but it could fire on full automatic! So, baisically, a sniper-machine gun. Quite an interesting dream.

Ocationaly, I dream about video-games. Mostly Shaiya. Anyway, I dream I'm doing something then jolt myself awake because of some in game action. Weird..

After a pure streak of career mode on GH1, GH2, GH 80's, I had a dream of Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Orange lines.

I cant really recal it but my dream was almost like ledgon of the dragoons and Naruto....wirdest part is Ive never seen Naruto.....

I once dreamed that I was in a Ravenholm-like city where everything was dark and there were zombie creatures everywhere. And it also involved a person being buried alive on a grim cemetery or such, it's been too long to remember clearly.

I remember playing Heroes of Might and Magic III for nearly an entire day once and when I went to get some sleep at the end of the night all I had was the same bizzare re-occuring dream sequence lasting about 30 seconds everytime I shut my eyes.

I must have got about 30 minutes sleep the whole night, freaked me right out. Didn't play HOMM for a month after that.

I have game-related dreams sometimes, the last one was Bioshock themed and the last thing I saw before I woke up was a Big Daddy coming straight for me, I woke up nearly having a panic attack and didn't sleep the rest of the night...

I once dreamt I bought a PS3 and tons of games I wanted and a Nintendo Wii with all the nostalgic games and then I woke up right as I was at the cash register.

Thinking of that, I once dreamt of buying a Mega-CD and Sonic CD when I was about 10. I even got up excited that I could play it again, just to realize that I didn't have one...

I was so happy when they released that game on PC (even if it did have that horrible American Soundtrack).

Yeah, I've had dreams where I was playing a game that I didnt have. I always wake up, excited to play it- it's soul-crushing, I tell you!

I had this dream where I was playing Saints Row, but suddenly everything in game changed, my assets got seized and I was on the run from the cops. I had to pawn the jewellery and nice clothes my character was wearing for a plainer disguise and some cash.

I honestly think that this could be awesome in a game if implemented, a sort of GTA/SR meets Mass effect, where in the game you make decisions on sparing lives and taking them, being a jerk versus a nice guy. Towards the end of the game, you have a whole act where your on the run from the cops, hiding out in safe house really desperate.

If you were a nice guy, you have more friends who can help you out, but maybe you didn't kill as many potential enemies, whereas if you were a ruthless gang leader you've got fewer support, few enemies but they're more heavily invested. Where you stashed guns and what you're wearing could be in the game, say its like Saint's row and your heavily dressed in gang colours or fancy clothing your first act is to ditch these. Do you race off in your sports car? Sure it could get you further but it also attracts more attention.

I once dreamt I was in the FPS perspective of the main character of Prototype in my own town.
