Condemned 2 was a huge letdown
Really I didn't think it was that bad. The combat was much much better. Like the best combat of any game I've played, slamming an elbow into a guy's face, smashing his skull in with a brick and the sound and visceral impact a bullet made.

Sure there were a few moments that I choose to forget like the clockwork pyscho ***** that made no sense, but despite what Yahtzee said the whole "indigo prophecy syndrome" was present in the first game as well.
True, true. The main problem I had with Condemned 2 actually was the lack of psychological terror that made the first part so remarkable. Everything that could have been subtle and slowly creeping in your brain was replaced by plain gore and over-the-top cutscenes. Just compare the last two levels of the original with the finale in part 2. In Condemned 2 there were some scenes which worked really well, but the fact that it abandoned subtle moments and became more of a very, very cliché comic book plot killed the experience of reliving what was happening to Ethan. For an example of how to do it better I point at the last levels of Condemned 1 again.

Devil May Cry 2
Hey hey? What was so bad about it?

On topic: Kingdom Hearts 2. I just feel it wasn't as deep as the first.
If you're being serious, mostly the enemies were not fun, game was far far too easy, weapons were all exactly the same, second character felt really tacked on, doesn't stack up to the other DMCs.
If you're not being serious, then it's because it never happened haha.

Yeah, I guess in my mind I only associate condemned 2 with the second level, the one in the run down appartments, that was so well done compared to the rest.

I... I think that you are the greatest person ever. You've said almost everything that I have said. I swear you have no ideas how many hours of my life has gone into Call of Duty: United Offensive. It was possibly one of the best games of all time if not just for the multiplayer, and the single player campaign was fun as well. What was your name on multiplayer, just wondering. I was Dr. Death colored red white and blue.
I always went by "Cannonfodder," 'cause that's usually what I did.

GTA 1&2 were liquid gold, then they sold their souls to the devil in 3&4.
Agreed
uh no they wasn't any story except get enough cash then get more and kill everything unless better graphics more weapons and an actual story are things you don't like now 4 wasn't as good because it took itself to seriously but your going to say gta was only good when it had less of everything
That was less than coherent. What I've gathered from that was you not liking the lack of story in the old GTA games, which says to me you've completely missed the point. You are a gangster, and oldschool mafia style urban warrior taking over the streets, why does everything need a story now?

Seriously, there's nothing wrong with cruising around doing various jobs for gangs (amongs brilliant humor) while slowly playing them off against each other and moving in on their turf when they are too weak to properly defend it. The newage GTAs trade off the brilliant gameplay for mediocre gameplay with near modern graphics (they are by no means impressive, in fact SA was disguisting next to games being released alongside it). The original GTA games looked fine anyway, they sure as all hell didn't have less of everything.

The old games were all round better, they are free downloads off the rockstar website if I recall correctly, go play them, you'll see how brilliant they are.
the way i came to my conclusions is because i played them and what territory you were everybody's lapdog after you killed enough of gang a you went to gang c they gave you money to kill some of gang b or blowup some building or steal a car then do it over and over and over until you got enough money

and what comedy i just heard jokes that only appeal to 5 year olds and even then they were hit and miss then that guy at the booths voice sounded like somebody was torturing a chipmunk and yes i need a story and a reason not to destroy the entire city or kill all the gangs and take all there money

and so being able to get different weapons and actually aim is mediocre then whats a good game when you turn towards your enemies and hope you shoot them with a bland assortment of weapons wow sounds fun

plus gta san an looked OK for the time especially the PC version
Seriously, type out what you want to say in word and let spellcheck do it's thing, it isn't so fun trying to decipher your posts.

You clearly haven't taken my advice on going back and playing the older GTA games, as if you had you'd know that the speaking was text based and the sound of the guys voice is irrelivent.

The only other part of your post that made any sense was about the graphics, and when older games (VC) have better graphics and effects than the newer game (SA) you've done something very wrong. For their time the graphics for SA were disguisting, and for the record console ports on PC are almost always disguisting compared to PC games, bringing up the games infinately delayed release on the PC only further highlights just how lackluster the game was (visually) next to other games of the era (half life 2, farcry etc, or if you want console games halo had been out for 3 years as had metal gear solid 2).

I'm going to go ahead and assume you made some point about the story, because you said "I need a story" in the random assortment of characters I've quoted, so I'll point out that "lol I'm black and steriotypical, now lets take over my old turf" does not constitute a story anymore than "I'm not black and steriotypical, I want control of all crime in this city". Really, think about GTA games like you would a porno, sure they usually have some kind of attempted story, but nobody gives a shit. You play the game to go on crimesprees, to fuck around killing things and generally wreak havoc on whatever community is unfortunate enough to accomodate you. Like I said above, most of these games don't need a detailed story, if I recall correctly the older mario games story was incredibly basic, yet look at how popular those games are.
