I've bought Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, Castle Crashers and Super Meat Boy twice. Once on 360, once on Steam. Got Dungeon Defenders twice as well except one of them was on the MacApp Store because it was on sale. Got my second copy in a Humble Indie Bundle.

I haven't bought any major (ie - boxed) titles more than once but I did buy Plants Vs Zombies twice, once on Steam and again on iOS. Of course, back when I bought it on Steam, Thriller zombie was still Thriller zombie. None of that disco zombie nonsense we have to put up with now.

All of the AC games, except AC3. They came out in a bundle on steam during some sale, and it was like 25 euro for the lot so I was totally having that.

LOTR: Battle For Middle Earth, bought it when it was new, and somehow it got stuck at some teacher's office 2 towns away from here with train. This was years later, and when I checked the local store it was actually cheaper to buy a new one, train ticket would have cost more than double. Also the teacher was a right **** so I didn't really want to speak to her ever again.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. This is probably my favourite game of all times and I bought it again on Steam for ease. Installing from 4 CDs is such a pain heh.

GTA 3/VC/SA. I honestly have no idea where all those disks went, lend out to various people that I've now forgotten I guess. Again a Steam Bundle got me to buy seconds, literally all PC GTA titles for 6 bucks, can't beat that kind of value.
Too bad GTA 4 is so hideously boring.

I bought Darksiders twice, sort of. Once in a Humble Bundle, and once in a Steam sale. Same with LIMBO.
I've bought Jedi Academy 3 times, a boxed copy, a steam copy, and another steam copy which I gave to a friend.
I also bought The Force Unleashed for both wii and PC, but they're totally different games on those two different platforms, so I don't feel like I bought the same thing twice.

Oblivion twice. Once for PC once for PS3.
GTA IV three times. Once for PC twice for Xbox (sold my old 360 then bought the 360 slim about 2 months ago).
Skyrim twice. PC and Xbox.
Battlefield 3 twice. Xbox.
CoD: World at War twice. PC and Xbox.
Fable twice, sort of. Original for Xbox, then bought The Lost Chapters.
Halo 3/ODST 3 times. Halo 3 once and ODST twice due to selling my old Xbox 360.

Not as bad as my friend. Nearly every game he owns or has owned on the Xbox 360 has been bought at least twice.

I own almost every version of Rayman 2 (and there are a lot of them). I also bought the Zone of the Enders HD Collection even though I already own Second Runner for the PS2 (there is no Zone of the Enders 1) because I really, really want there to be a ZoE 3.

Resident Evil 4. Bought it for PS2 release day. Bought the collectors edition (Fully intact)Gamecube version from a friend (Don't even own a Gamecube). Bought the Wii version for a friend. Bought the PS3 HD release, and THEN gave my flawless copy of the PS2 version (seriously I damn near kept it in a safe) to my (now) ex's sister for her birthday just so that I could re-buy it again............I LIKE RESIDENT EVIL 4 IF YOU HAVEN'T GUESSED YET.

Morrowind, I got the game on disk, lost it, got it on disk again. Then bought it on Steam recently.
Humble indie bundles have meant that I have technically bought games twice.
And my preorder of XCOM got me a copy of Civ V which I already had.

Hmmmmm, Battlefield 2 is the only one I can think of. It was only because it needed the CD to play and I lost it so needed to buy it again to get it to work. This was before I figured out who CD images worked...

Oblivion: 2 times on PC, one PS3 and one 360 copy.
Viva Pinata: 2 times on PC, one copy on 360.
Fallout 3: PC and 360.
Spyro 2: PS1 and PSN.
Rayman Origins: PS3 and PS Vita.
CoD: World at War: PS3 and PC.
Champions: Return to Arms: About 4 times after I lost/damaged each copy.

There's probably a bunch of other ones too (like the old Pokemon games) but I don't remember since it was so long ago.

Metroid Prime 3, once by itself and then again with the Metroid Prime Trilogy Collection, and CoD Black Ops 1 since my first disk became cracked due to the shitty case it was in and me wanting to play it again. I'll likely buy New Vegas again because I experienced the same problem with it that I experienced with Black Ops and I bought Old World Blues before I realized my disc was unreadable.

Oblivion twice, Skyrim three times, and Left 4 Dead 2 and several other games twice because of steam sales and the famous "I might play them sometime" thought.

I bought Dragon Age: Origins twice.

The reason why? It was cheaper to buy Origins and Awakening together for my Mac (about £25) than it was to buy Awakening on its own through the PSN (about £33... yeah, thanks Sony). If EA/Bioware had been allowed/chosen to release Awakening on disc (oh yeah, and thanks to SOEE for that stupid policy), it would have retailed for about £20, so the way I saw it, I was basically getting an extra copy of Origins for a fiver.

That being said, if EA ever release the Mss Effect Trilogy on the Mac, I'd be okay with buying it again. Plus, I've pretty much already decided to pick up XCOM: Enemy Unknown again once the Mac port appears...
