Games you like playing, but are bad at?

Self-explanatory, really. What Games you like playing, even though you can't play them very well? (And no, Dark Souls doesn't count. Everyone sucks at Dark Souls, at least at first)

For me, it would be Total Warhammer. I never played a Total War game before, and the setting intriguied me. But appearantly I suck at the campaign mode. I got through the Empire campaign by safescumming here and there, and when playing another campaign as the dwarfs without it the orcs overran me after uniting into two big tribes. So yeah, I am not gonna be the undisputed ruler of the old world anytime soon (which coincidentally is a stupid name for a planet. Who decided to name it that? Did they had a new world around they wanted to switch to and forgot about it after a while?). I usually don't do too bad with RTSs, and I wasn't loosing most of the battles, the AI just had far more armies than me. Oh well. Back to playing japanese softcore porn games I guess.

Overwatch is another one for me, just not that dramatic. I have fun with the game, and I am not BAD at it, just not that fantastic as well. Solid lower mid tier I guess.

Which games you have fun playing even if you can't play them well? Are there games you only like to watch because of this?

I'm not particularly good at twitch shooters, but I like playing them from time to time.

Can't think of any game genres that I both particularly like and am particularly bad at besides that.

I'm very bad at the first two "Gears of War" games, but at the same time they are my favourite two in the series. Conversely I'd consider myself above average at "3" which I like the least of the four (sans multiplayer which is awesome).

I want to be good at AI wars (an RTS style game against a powerful AI), but I am REALLY bad at it and kept aggroing the AI until it just overwhelmed me whenever I got a few hours into a run.

I REALLY like Knights in the Knightmare (DS), but I never got more than like 4 missions into it because HOLY FUCK it's complicated and hard to play. It's not the control scheme (I did really good with TWEWY), it's just the huge assortment of rules to the bullet hell segment, PLUS the tactical strategy preparation part, PLUS trying to drag missions out to the last turn while grinding background objects to get new weapons and Items-needed-to-recruit-new-teammates, while ALSO keeping an eye on my soldiers so I don't overuse them and thus kill them permanently by over-exhausting them...AUGH! That and the first real boss with a Fury meter was horrifyingly tough. Love the game, but holy mother of MOD it's hard on the normal mode, and I feel like I'm cheating if I'm on the easy mode. :s

Alien Isolation. I've...been on a yearlong break after I lost an hour of progress when I accidentally hit something with my wrench and the alien impaled me from behind, AFTER I used up like half the flamethrower ammo I had on the FIRST MISSION WITH THE FLAMETHROWER. ;_; I'll get back to it...someday.

All of them. I'm terrible at all of them. But I have a nice little collection going, almost 400 now which is split amongst current/classic consoles and PC. And I have quite a few I haven't even touched yet, so I guess I'm not bad at all of them. Most of them let's say.

I've always enjoyed fighting games but I've never been more than passable at them. I tend to be just slightly better at them than my brother(who is usually the only real person I play against). Never really felt that interested in going online with it.

Fighting games. I am not absolutely terrible, I (usually) don't spam an attack if it's not working, I (usually) can combo a normal into special into super, but that's it. I can't do anything more complicated.

But I do like them.

Bloodborne. I'm awful at Bloodborne. I thought, if really tried, I could get the mechanics down, but alas, no luck. It just doesn't click with me. The enemy attack often seem sporadic and random, with no real pattern to them. Just monster limbs flailing around. The fast pace doesn't help.

I can play through Dark Soul's, without a shield, no problem. It just takes patience. But Bloodborne? No way. I beat it once, loved it, and put it away. I don't think I could enjoy the game the way I do the soul's games. It just doesn't click.

It's not universal, but Fighting games, racing games, PVP (I do okay, but I just don't dig the scene... wait that doesn't count, I guess), and that's mostly it.

I so wanna play the the new King of Fighters. I like Smash bros, I like Street fighter 4. 5 needs to, you know, finish being made before I'll look into it. Love Tekken, and DoA. Wonderful engines.

I like racing games coz, well,

I like the idea of stealth games (Dishonoured, Thief, etc) but I'm SUPER bat at them. I don't even understand HOW I'm so bad at them. I'm careful and aware, I take my time, plan and explore, and STILL can't ever make my way through a level without being spotted, cornered, and murdered a bunch. Alas, maybe someday I'll get gud...

Catherine, probably. I like the game when I'm not busy falling to my death or being impaled on a giant dessert fork.

Same here. I am super excited for games like Skullgirls, but I suuuuuuuuuuck!
However the last version or Guilty Gear xrd had a superb Tutorial mode which it is like you paly a mini arcade game.
Also in the same game it have a sections which you can practice in different kind of situations you have problems with. For example if you have a problem counterattack a special move of a specific character, now the game show you how to do it.

I hope in the future for tutorials klikeime that foe other games as well

Street Fighter V. I used to be pretty into Street Fighter in the 90's, but I'm completely out of my depth with this one. It feels like it's all gotten way more complicated than it used to be.

Melee. I adore the game, I practice tech for fun, and I follow the competitive scene (which is like professional wrestling but real). I'm no good at it, though. I regularly kill myself and can't do anything in it reliably. I suppose the same could be said for SF2 Turbo, CvS2, and Third Strike. Basically any fighting game I like.

I'm also not very good at shmups---at least not as good as people who play or are informed in them. I do like going for 1CCs, even though I've never even come close. That incremental progress is satisfying, and despite being a very high-tension genre I find it relaxing.

Final Fantasy and traditional jRPGs in general. I'm not really bad at them, but I'm not prepared to deal with things like grinding and guessing how certain things are supposed to work, so I find myself having to take long breaks between plays and rage-quitting a lot more than in other games. When things flow well, though, I enjoy the hell out of them.

Also, fighting games, but that's a once-in-a-while kind of thing.

Action Sidescrollers like Castlevania, Metal Slug, Rogue Legacy, Spelunky (oh god...) I enjoy playing these games a lot but I just am not very good at them, I do progress, but rather slowly and at the cost of LOTS of lives.

Beat-em-up games are also like this, I loved the Golden Axe series, I really enjoyed Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, and I recently got Dragon's Crown. I really like these games for some reason but I am pretty awful at them, granted in most cases the control scheme seems deliberately designed to make you awful.

Nope... Still gonna say Dark Souls... "I have no time to study you, dude, so just kill me and get this dance over with!" I say...

OT: Fucking top-down shmups... "I have no time to study you, bullet pattern, so just kill me and get this dance over with..." I refuse to say out loud...

Other than that, [competitive] fighting games... "I have no time to learn your combos, 2D fighter with the boob lady, so don't combo-lock me because I [still] don't know how to cancel properly while not-button-mashing... this time..." I proclaimed to the screen...

I suck at SUPERHOT. I've completed it, and I love Endless. But the best score I've gotten is 53. I think it's because I tend to try to be a bit too clever. So many times I get clipped because I try to do too much.

I still love it though.
