Love FPS games, generally pretty bad at all of them, especially the multiplayer aspects (Most notable example: I played Halo 4 long enough to hit max rank - SR, not CSR - and I'm still not particularly good at it.) Can also throw in the SSB games, which I'm absolutely terrible at, but who cares, because they're still fun to play with friends (even when you're getting your ass kicked).

Any game with online multiplayer... "I get it, game... There is no way in hell am I going to get THAT many kills or beat those time trials my 'friends' set up... *sighs* Why can't these achievements be in a separate category... like under multiplayer?"

Any RTS... "OH GLOB! MY UNITS!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Wait... where did I place my base of operations?!?!" (Yeah... I'm THAT bad... even when I don't have a base to begin with...)

I would say fighting games... but, to be more precise, playing a fighting game in a tournament-like setting... with a controller, since I'm only good with a controller on hand instead of a fight stick... #foreverfirstround

I would also say JRPGs (or RPGs in general), but now I just say that "I'm up all night to get lucky..." *shiftyeyes* (I'm still the only one of my friends to fully 100% Tales of Symphonia... That book was nothing compared to the Devil's Arms, anyway...)

Awesomenauts. Ridiculous amounts of fun, but I can' play it anything resembling to well. I try to keep with matches only with friends, so as to not spoil anyone's match. The fact that I have more fun loosing in that game than I do winning in a lot of others is a testament to how good it is.

Not to sound like a jerk, but I don't think I suck at any game I like. Not that I have a basis for comparison, since I know zero gamers in real life. But then I also couldn't tell what games I kick ass at.

I usually have general 'suck' moments where I screw up and nothing goes right.

Of all the games I like though I find none of them overly hard to play.

Injustice: Gods Among Us.

I'm new to fighting games, and I've been having a great time playing it. I can usually do ok against the AI, and I enjoy playing the iOS version to unlock the exclusive costumes, but I always get absolutely destroyed when I try to play online.

More recently, Fire Emblem Awakening.
Maybe playing on Hard Classic wasn't a good idea. But I did it. And holy fuck until I got Donnel and levelled him up so I could completely break the game people were dying CONSTANTLY. And I'ma metagaming shitbag so if anyone died then off goes the 3DS because nobody gets left behind.
Well, good to know I'm not the only person to do that; I don't know how many times I've started my Fire Emblem games, especially on Hard Mode, just because I wouldn't let that one person on my team die. Ah well, it just makes victory all the better, yes?

On topic of this thread; Starcraft and Warcraft. For those two I play defensively, which never works for me, not against bots, not online, not against my younger sibling! It's a shame, too, because I love those games, especially Warcraft 3's artwork (probably not the correct term, but whatever), but I cannot for the life of me adopt the Zerg Rush mentality in those two.

Any fighting games.

Right now playing DOA 5 Ultimate, and have mastered the skills of (A) button mashing the "rookie" AI to death and (B) winding up on the receiving end of flawless victories whenever I go online.

Won't stop playing, though :p

Team Fortress 2
Whenever I join a random game, I unerringly get assigned to the abysmally losing team. The exceptions are when I'm playing Degroot Keep.
And the teams are small.
And my opponents have over a hundred ping.
And Lady Luck's ***** slapping hand is tired.
Even then we're only slightly mismatched.
I am oft reminded of why I stopped playing this game and picked up Worms Armageddon, of all things, but revisiting it now, I don't really find it half bad. At least, not until my opponents get guns.

My three worst at genres are;
Beat Em' Up
Driving
Sports

Beat Em' Ups - I'm capable of playing with friends locally and single player but as most know online is full of either elite tournament players or projectile spammer; neither of them I have time/patience for.

Driving - I find most of them boring as hell to play so little experience in them. though i don't count kart racing among them as they play comepletly different from the rest (but the same as each other).

Sports - Hate, hate, HATE sports. hated it in school, hate it on TV and hate it in video games. its the only genre that I don't own a single game in it.

Honorable mention goes to RTS - I'm decent at RTS its just I'm a steam roller player. I like to take my time when building my forces so 1v1 is a poor match up for me. usually play with friends where they excel at harassing and defending while I happily build up a sizable force and ploy through one of the enemy's bases that looks weakest.

Guilty Gear. Awesome character design, rockin' soundtrack, but I just can't get my head around the combos and cancels and all that "pro" fighting game stuff.

I love War Thunder. I love it to bits. It's the sort of game I'd dream of as a child.

I'm also a rubbish pilot. With a bit of luck, I can maybe manage a few kills. If the opponent is occupied and I got a clear shot. And we don't accidentally collide. And I still got my decent plane.

Captcha: white bread. Brown bread, more like. Falling towards the ground in flames after being slowly disassembled by a mean old Messerschmitt.

SMT IV. I'm not trading this in until I can at least make it to the endgame, if not finish it. Why didn't I remember the main series titles are known for being so damn hard?

RTS games. Starcraft, C&C, Company of Heroes, etc.

I'm slightly better at realtime tactics, like World In Conflict, Wargame: EE, Total War, and Myth, but not by a winning factor.

I used to be fucking deadly at Quake and Quake 2 DM, but I spent less and less time playing oldschool shooters and got older and slower to boot.

Any Platinum Games production. Games like Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, Viewtiful Joe, and Devil May Cry are really cool and quite deep, but I just cannot manage to get proficient at them besides button-mashing. Speaking of Metal Gear, the newer iterations seem to kick my ass more than the older games.

edit: OH, and one more thing. Horror games. Man, I love the way horror is done in games. To the point that I can't fucking play any of them. I never get scared at horror movies, I've never played an actually scary survival horror game for more than one hour before never touching the title in question again :(
I can completely agree on this. Especially with indie games, like The Witch's House, or yume nikki. which is weird, because when I watch a "horror movie" it usually ends with me bursting in laughter.

RTS games. Some of my favourite games are Age of Mythology, Command & Conquer: Generals, Dawn of War but I'm just not good at them. Anything different from an easy AI ends up in me quitting the game session with enormous RAGE. I once tried multiplayer on DoW 2 and my team lost due to my noobishness in record time. I wasn't embarrassed but I was angry that I couldn't do much to help my team. I do well and on some genres really well but RTS is just something else.

Another for RTS games. All I do is turtle up until I build enough big heavy things to flatten the opponent. If I play against anything other than default 'Easy' AI I get steam-rolled in either the first few turns or by some superweapon I had no idea existed.

Other people flank, create multiple outposts, distract and use hit-and-run tactics. I put up a gigantic wall and throw stones over it.

I love league of legends, but I can't really do anything properly except AP mid. Of course that's really relative because of a proper leveling and ranking system. Playing mid is the only thing I succeed at most of the time in ranked.

Other then that most fps games, especially halo reach but at the end I couldn't tell whether or not I was bad or whether or not everyone that was still playing multiplayer 2 years after release was just a tiny bit more obsessed than I was. And the game had a ranking system that was more or less full of shit, so every game had players that seemed to have a fuckton more experience then me.

Also SC. Don't even talk to me about SC.

Pretty much any sort of turn-based strategy game (except for X-Com). Games like Heroes of Might and Magic, Fallen Enchantress, or any 4X space empire game. I try my damndest but I always end up having to put it on easy difficulty. It seems like no matter how hard I try, I always get stuck in situations where everyone goes to war with me and I'm outnumbered, or I get it down to one opponent and we have an endless war of attrition, and after a while you just get sick of trying to out-micromanage a computer.
