Games you think are great, even though no one else seems to like them.

Expecting some grief for this, but I really did enjoy Lair.

I've always been a dorky dragon enthusiast, so I thought that game was practically MADE FOR ME when I saw the trailers, but meh. The controls were different and the storyline was fun, if corny.

Lair's still one of my favorites.

(And, I love Pokemon snap, OP. You're far from alone.)

I still play frequently, I don't find the sixaxis controls not even as close as bad as people reviewing say it is..Well I guess i could picture them flailing their arms around seeing if its controlable like idiots and declaring it sucks.

Also watching Mantas explode always makes my day

Civ:Rev was great-its no civilization admittedly but its way more fun (for me) less complicated things to worry about.

I second enchanted arms its a great game only thing that annoyed me was that its so dam easy but time consuming to cheat at (casino glitch)

Vegas 2 is a great game with a mostly great online community (on cooperative terrorist hunt any way versus is still full of stereotypical 360 shooter fans)

I liked Bladestorm: the hundred years war too even if it was repetative at points its good old hack and slash fun

Need for Speed Pro Street.......

Many believed it was the worst NFS to date. I played it without looking at the name of the game and to be honest there is something great about it except for the performance issues.

Titan Quest. Outstanding action-RPG, best one to come along since Diablo 2.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Best melee combat simulator ever, and people who criticized it for being a shitty RPG completely missed the fact that it's not an RPG.

Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. Beauty and wonder, marred only by an inflexible, asstastic control setup.

Arx Fatalis. Best dungeon crawler in years.

Fallout Tactics. Oh, boo hoo, it's not a real Fallout RPG. Suck it up, fanboy, it was a fine tactical combat sim and lots of fun to play, definitely worthy of the name.

I'd say that's a pretty good start.

All my friends hate it, but i really enjoyed Timeshift. There was something about shooting a guy in differnt places during pause and seeing where he laneded. There wasnt much story, but i think the level design made up for it, especially since i got the game used for 8 bucks.

(BTW pokemon snap was alot of fun. Remember finding the special pictures like the mewtwo in the cave and the Koffing n the smoke?)

Black and White 1 and 2 were beyond fun. An old-school RPG called Darkstone that I play I NEVER FOUND ANYONE ELSE WHO PLAYED IT.
PKMON Snap was fun too. I remember the secret spot where you snap at Voltorb, he asplodes and opens special area.

For me, Blood Omen 2. I know many consider it the worst game in the Legacy of Kain series, but something about it just keeps me coming back for more.
That and Jet Force Gemini, good lord, I'm surprised it didn't catch on.

Far Cry doesn't get enough love. It annoys me greatly when people say it's just a tech demo.

Star Wars the Force Unleashed.

I just cant figure out why there's so much hate for this game. For me, this game was one of those games that I just couldn't put down. It was a great thrill ride the whole way and I don't care what all you other kids think. This webcomic sums up my feelings about the game quite nicely: http://theslackerz.com/index.php?Page=94

I also really like the fire emblem series (yes, even Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn). They're solid tactical RPGs that do not get enough love in this world. I think there's one coming out for DS, and I can not wait for it.

Fatal Frame series

I cant get my guy friends to play any of them becuase they cant seem to wrap their minds round the idea shes using a camera not a gun.

my one friend who will play fatal frame 2 wont play 1 or 3

1 is apparently to old and hard and 3 she says is the worst of all

personally i say 1 was difficult but a good solid game
and yes 3 looks like someone took an axe and hacked out peices...the cameras have been down graded by adding features that do nothing but complicate things, and some plot lines dont seem to have a conclusion.
but i have to say what was left of the story is maybe the best yet
i was so shocked at the cinema before the final fight the boss killed me before i was able get away.

weirdly, nobody else in my school seems to like portal. Yeah. They. don't. like. portal.
Apparently it's boring, possibly because there's no football and nobody dies in a bloody melee, although I think the football is more of a contributor.
MORON ALERT !!!!!!
EDIT. Sorry about this, but I still think that Pokemon is only any good for 6 year olds and possibly far eastern SUPER NERDS

I totally played that game. I wasn't wild about it, but still: I played it!

Here are my guilty gaming pleasures:

Fallout Tactics - It was mentioned earlier, but man I liked it!
Oblivion for the 360 - I know it won a ton of awards, but SO MANY people complain about the game, I'm wondering how it won awards at all! Whatever, I LOVE the game!
Total Annihilation - This was such a freaking awesome RTS and barely anyone I know played it.
'Phantom Dust' for Xbox - Again, nobody knows this game and I had a blast with it.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - A PC CLASSIC, in my opinion. Not one person I know has played this game. Not one.
