I know Gamespot reviews don't count for much of anything but did anyone see their review [http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/killzone-shadow-fall-review/1900-6415536/] for the latest Killzone game?

He keeps calling it boring because there aren't always unrealistic waves of enemies coming at you, it's like he doesn't understand that when we've gunned down our 40'th person in a single wave the shootouts start feeling grindy and we wonder where the heck all the guys we're shooting keep coming from.

Wasn't that one of the number one complaints about BioShock Infinite? That the mobs and mobs of enemies took all the context out of killing and made the game a boring slog just to get from story point to story point?

Maybe I just don't like it because I'm a Killzone fanboy though, I could be a bit biased. Someone please tell me I'm not just being a biased fanboy for thinking the review was terrible.

A recent bad review was the one for NBA 2K14 by the simple fact that by the end of it you dont know anything new about the game, it was the first basketball game the reviewer played and he spent the entire review talking about what happened in his Career mode instead of talking about what made this one different then the previous one.

Its like he talked entirely about his multiplayer progression in a Call of Duty game and how he was impressed how he unlocked weapons over time (the fanbase already knows that, they want to know what is new or different to the series and what remains the same).

EDIT: This review was bad not because of his opinion but for the lack of information for the costumers

OT: In your case its just his opinion, go check what kind of games he likes and if they dont match the kind of games you like then why do you read his reviews? The only thing that matters here is "Will you like the game?" and for that you wont find the awnser with someone that has different tastes then yours. This review is for a somewhat different audience that exists just as much as you do.

I just skimmed over it and it doesn't seem like a "bad review". There're more pluses than minuses in the end and the reviewer gave it a 7/10. On a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being unplayable and 10 being excellent, 7 is closer to excellent than it is to unplayable.

I think you're being a bit biased, yes.

Pretty good review, actually. Low enemy density is a pretty major issue in a shooter like Killzone, as it lessens the challenge and excitement. Wondering "Where the hell is everyone" is a much bigger problem than "Where do these guys keep coming from?"
Also, the biggst complaint about Infinite was the fact that the ending didn't make any sense.

Meh, I'll make my own judgement on the game when I play it. Maybe this guys idea of "too few enemies" is my idea of "this is a fair number of enemies for this situation". Even if its on par with the amount in Killzone 3, I'll be pretty happy with it.
