Everyone knows that the people in games aren't real people but I'm wondering if anyone here has seen past that and simply hoping to whichever god or whatnot you believe in that you get to kill this person... painfully. I'm not talking about annoying characters or characters with bad controls or lines, I am talking about characters that are such assholes that you think that this needs to end with a large amount of blood.
Mine is from CoD MW2 since I don't want to spoil anything for anyone I won't say who but you definitely know if you've played the game.

I wouldn't say I wanted to kill him, but the antagonist of Bully made a real impression on me, much to my surprise.

King Cailin from Dragon Age--god he's an idiot. I just with I had the option to kill him myself rather than let the Darkspawn do it.

That's easily done if your player character turns to the Dark Side.
The game characters that I'd like to kill aren't necessarily because of any hatred but because they might make for interesting hunts or their removal from the game world can lead to more chaos.
Semi-invincible heroes such as Dante (Devil May Cry), Kratos (God of War...if you feel like a tough guy playing as him, how much more hardcore would you feel tearing him limb from limb?), and Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden) are all good starts on a VG hit list.
If adaptation characters count, Super-Man tops them all.

Hay, come on, Dante is awesome. He's the only guy I know who rides a missile and plays a guitar that shoots lightning and bats.

Regardless, Ashe from FFXII. The only game person who really annoys me. *whine whine*

I agree, he was a very compelling antagonist. It amazed me how satisfying it was when you get to smash his face to a pulp in the end.

That's exactly why Dante would be fun to take out (obligatory 'not on a date' joke here). Maybe with Bayonetta while Dante is in his non-costume from the beginning of Devil May Cry 3. That'll teach him to take fights with women more seriously. Ha!
Now, if annoyance factor was an issue and the character is unkillable by the player, then Nick Kang (True Crimes) or Sonic the hedgehog (Sonic Adventure series)are on that list.
Yeah, that's right. I like members of Sonic's supporting cast more than him though not by much.
Oh, I was so upset that Shadow didn't kill Sonic at the end of Sonic Adventure 2, ending the series right there, that I sold the game not too long after that. Maybe he was better off mute, after all.
When it comes to 'attitude', less is more. That's the one thing that I can't abide in 'over-the-top' volumes in games. Go figure.

Reaver from Fable 2 comes to mind, and Ashoka Tano if she is in any game, it would please me. Very much so.
