While we'd like to think and the ghosts and goblins are in Ghosts N' Goblins but are they?

The Madden Curse-Imagine your a NFL superstar and now EA wants to pay you for putting your picture on their video game. So sign the contract spend an out hour taking photos in uncomfortable poses in full gear and your agent takes 20% but hey money is money. Then you get injured and ruin the season. Well is a violent sport or have you just been the latest victim of the Madden Curse?

Michael Vick was on the cover of Madden 2004, and then suffered a leg injury that took him out for most of the 2004 season.

Or Shaun Alexander who was on the cover of Madden NFL 2007, and sustained a foot injury, missing 6 starts.

The second game jinx- While those logical people would say things like "Higher Expectations" or even "Not as innovative as the first" but the second game in the series tends to be the worst.

Mario-1985 Super Mario Bros. launches and is a massive success. Super Mario Bros. 2 then tanks. Super Mario Bros. 3 is another hit. Even Mario is not immune to the jinx.

Similar things have happened to the Halo and Metal Gear Solid series.

in most of every game i have played one person says i have this bad feeling about this then the main character says "shut the hell up we win after this level" then he gets shoot by a sniper or gets a ship thrown on him sorry but it is true

Bad omen:
-something made by Atari,
-has the words "madden" in it.
-doesn't come in a box
-Passes off saving options as a major reason for selling games
-didn't have a PC version (not always true but but it's an omen not a fact)
-Forces Gamespot employees to get fired
-Has only multiplayer and no story
-Works for a franchise (burger king games)

Good Omen:
-Something that has a V an A a L another V and possible an E
-comes in a box
-A sequel that has deviated from using numbers
-shiny
-Erotic
-costs a lot of money
-and ole Yahtzee liked it

"Bigger Better and More badass" seemed like a bad omen for me. Maybe "more ambitious" would have been better.

the majoriy of movie games w/ few exceptions they suck
I'd call it the E.T curse cause I think it was the first movie game (correct me if I'm wrong)

What about God Of War II and Half Life 2?

In the same place as KOTOR II. Swept under the carpet labeled Exceptions and then placed in a top secret Vault in Area 51 with the passwordASSWORD.

Actually, according to your beloved Metacritic, Halo 2 was better than Halo 3, and MGS2 was the best in the series.
