Every time I play Guitar Hero my eyes go funny when ive finished playing a song. If i look at a photo it looks like its moving.

Has anyone played a game which has caused a weird side effect? Physical or otherwise?

girlfriend always pissed at me because sometimes team fortress > girlfriend.

after jak II my trigger finger hurt quite a bit too and heightened blood pressure while playing condemned 2.

I did a project on this when I was in school, when I find it I'll psot it up but from what I gathered it was more of aggression that was linked to gaming than anything else.

Same thing happens to me when I cut grass and move forward on the lawn mower for about an hour. I found this quote that sort of explains it.

Your brain thinks that you are physically moving forward. In real life, forward motion would generate "spokes" on the eye's retina, "like in Star Trek, when they go into warp speed," "Your brain generates a perception of what the world will be like in the next moment because by the time that perception finally occurs--it takes about a tenth of a second--that object will be larger,"

Something like that.

Good god that's been with me for years.

When I was younger, after playing doom3 during the arvo late into the night (when nobody else was home), I was seeing zombies everywhere. I also get migrains if I game too long.

the first few months after i started playing EQ, i heard orcs and spellcasting sounds everywhere, and after letting my friends play tenchu stealth assassins, all i heard for days was: HEY!!! YOU!!!... C'MON...
these days i just do certain things in a game on automatic, like complete a level, or something to that effect and don't remember doing it. Maybe i just rock?

Whenever something seems to be going my way I want to Save Game. But I can't seem to find the option to do so... is this a bug or glitch?

After playing Fallout 3 for around 12 hours straight, I heard a helicopter flying near my house. I jumped out of my chair and hid in the closet. I just fought off six deathclaws i cant handle the enclave right now!

I lose track of time while gaming. And I sometime get motion sick (only happens rarely in FPS's).

After playing WAY too much Splinter Cell, every time I come to do something important in the real world, I think "gotta Quicksave!". It's become a rather annoying reflex reaction...

Let's see, I have Minor RSI meaning my wrists hurt like hell after a long gaming session.
Having my headset turned to full while playing CSS or a FPS where you have to tell which way the enemies feet are coming, so my ears pay for that.

Whenever I interact and walk around in urban streets with street vendors, trash on the side of the road, combined with worn-down roads with large potholes, I always wondered...

"Would there come a time that every interaction I'm doing in the Real World would become an actual game (Game in which played in free will and not Matrix-like)?"

After playing Portal, for about 2-5 hours i could not look at a flat surface without imagining how well a portal would fit on it.
eg. Square Lampshades = no
Aisle = Yes
