These things always bother me. A celebrity dies that was pretty much a laughing stock of one liners his entire career, and now everyone mourns like it is the saddest day in history.
I know I'm exaggerating but this happens with almost every celebrity.
Check your paper. Read the obituaries. I bet greater men than him have passed away today. Men who probably did good for their communities, were in wars, volunteered, donated to charities, or were just good decent normal people.
The truth is we know nothing about Gary Coleman except what the media spun about him.
Sure its a shame he died young but I don't see anyone visiting the children's hospital and mourning those kids.
The truth is, the majority of the people who feel saddened by this only feel so because it's in the media and he was a celebrity.
In all honesty I don't care that he died because I didn't really care when he was alive. I didn't know him. Why would it bother me? I never wished any harm upon him but I don't think I should have to feel any emotion other than indifference when hearing news like this.
