Sweet. Hmmm, I'm going to guess maybe... Half-Life (episode?) 3?

Hope to get some new Team Ico news, apart from that yaaawn at the GDC.
Far bigger than Gears of War 2.
Thats the problem, its such a low bar, I can't think of anything that would be likely to be on par with it. Kojimas new project? Bigger. Details on Trico? Bigger. The Ps3 price cut? Bigger. The only thing I can think he's reffering to is maybe Fable III.
Let's be fair, here. MGS5, Half Life 3 would be bigger (Half Life more so than Kojima). As much as ICO and SotC were awesome, though, GeoW is an exponentially more popular franchise.
Half Life 2 Episode 3 would be the announcement. Considering there is 0 info on the game still out, even a screenshot would be welcomed.
That doesn't mean anything - hell, I've already predicted the plot for the first episode, and asked people to bookmark it. Despite the fuss people will make about information we "learn", if you look at the others, you can really pick up what will happen.
Dude guessing the main plot of episode 1 wasnt a very complicated thing to do. Heck 1 year after HL2 or less there was a news about being a new Half Life game named Half Life 2: Aftermath were the plot was Gordon, Barney and Alyx escaping City 17. Very diferent of what might happen in Episode 3, cause theres no plot details on it. The only thing you can guess is that going to find the ship. From there you can deposit your Ep3 plot guess along side the other hundred I have read.
I predicted a massive fetch quest to get the Deus ex Macihina that will retur Eli to life, followed by finding a captured Combine base, hijacking one of their ships, then going to the arctic, followed by the organic part failing in the cold.
Episode 3 is the last one. They going to the artic at the start and Eli will stay dead. Bringing him back to live his ruining the ending of Episode 2. Eli is dead and its not coming back. It would be stupid and serve the story no purpose. Eli died cause he knew to much about G-Man so he got the axe so he wouldnt tell us everything about him. Another character that knew too much was Breen and well he got the same fate of Eli Vance.
Half Life 2 Episode 3 wraps up HL2 story arc, so you going to head out to the Borealis at the start of the game and not wander around looking for a way to save a brain raped character.
The vortigaunts have so far been used as walking deus ex machinas twice before, one of which was to bring a character who dies back to life. He will be ressurected, but conveniently forget about the G-Man.
Alyx DID NOT DIE! The Vort that find her says it. "The Alyx Vance still lives but not for long".(or something) Eli will stay dead, Alyx survived cause she wasnt dead, near dead in which the Vorts puted her in some sort of stasis, so Gordon and Cecil could go get the Antlion extract to cure her.
Eli is 100% DEAD his brain got sucked up by a Combine advisor, on the other hand when Alyx got attacked she did not get instant fatal wounds. You can get some serious belly injury and still live for a couple of hours.(Learned that from some Tanrantino movie where some guy gets shot a bunch of times in the belly, and his friend says that it would take hours till he died.)
Any mention of anything remotely like this power before? Any whatsoever? No, so they're just pulling random powers out of the air andgiving them to the Vorts. Any problem the writers need to work around, the Vorts have some new power they've never talked about before that comes in handy and makes it all better.
That may correct, but theres "good" Deus ex machina and bad Deus Machina. Bad you have the example of War of the Worlds and Tk The Andromeda Strain were the plot ends up with in a cheap way. Then theres good like the Vorts rescuing you from G-Man and healing Alyx in which its procedure is nothing more than some sort of advanced surgery, in which makes the story actually go forward.
And again Eli Vance being brought back to live brings nothing to the Story..only removes it. His death contributes to the final stage of Half Life 2 arc story. Now the rebels dont have a strong leader, Alyx will probably spend most of Ep3 in emo stage giving in the end some sort of bad decision like letting the Borealis fall into Combine hands and Gordon not knowing who is the G-Man. Bringing him back would ruin everything and serve the story no purpose questioning you why did they bother killing him in the first place.
So no you aint going to spend Episode 3 looking for a way to make him come back to life. You going to start episode 3 heading to the artic, find Mossman and then destroy the Borealis.
Edit: Again Episode 3 is the last one of HL2 arc. This will happen at the end: 1)The story ends and no more Half Life. 2)The HL2 arc finish and HL3 will be set in a diferent time/place with some connections to what you did in HL2.
