I just watched scene where you meet the locust queen she looks similar to Maria but Maria did die, so the only two choice I see are either the patient ruth or she took the DNA from Maria and her name in hebrew form leaving Maria in that state whe is after Dom find her.
About the part of Maria being Myrrah, isn't a name the same thing in any language? A John in America wouldn't just turn into a Jake in spanish.
Not always true diferent promounciations and spelling like Yakove wouldn't be Yakove in english it becomes something like Jacob amd Moishe I believe is Mark in english I dunno exactly but it translates into a english name.
Edit: some names are the same throughout different languages but have different spellings like Aharon(Aaron) in Hebrew so Maria could be Myrrah in hebrew spelling so in other words in America we would call the girl Maria but in Israel they would call the girl Myrrah but in Israel the america girl would be called Maria and ame with Myrrah in America.

I believe the queen was the test subject instead. When you go through the research facility there was a 15 year old female patient being tested on 15 years before Gears of War 2. Soon, they went to the mountains with some more test subjects. So the queen should be 30, and the queen in the game looks around that age. Also, it would explain her hatred towards humans for testing on her and the reason why their headquarters is in the mountain that the female subject was transported to...

That seems possible with the queens saying they don't understand why we wage this war why we must continue possibly being that they are trying to stop the humans destructions towards the planet and to stop suffering of the test subjects maybe I dunno but I guess we will have to wait till 3 comes out.

Have they confirmed yet that they are making a GoW3? Epic said in an interview that Gears of War 2 hit all the points they wanted to nail in the trilogy. The part with Adam talking at the end seems like a three will be inevitable, but I could definitely see them doing a prequel before 3 comes out. Gears 1, Gears 2, Gears Origins, Gears 3....something like that.

The locust queen lives down the hall from me in my dorm. If I remember correctly, she's double majoring in interior design and Human Resource Management. I'm not certain, but I think she might have stolen the last of my ice cream from the community freezer.
I think you guys and girls are looking too deeply into a game which is mind-meltingly shallow. That isn't a criticism of the game, it just isn't really designed to be more than a fast, fun boom-fest.

More to the point it's rather incongruous, the locust are somehow insect based, the have a hive and a queen etc. The queen directs the locust so how would they have decided to make Dom's wife queen without an existing queen to give the order? Even if an original queen did she would never give up her reign.

The locust knew about attacking the humans during the pendelum wars they were waiting for the humans to soften themselves up then attack, even Adam Fenix knew 10 years before E-Day and thats why he formulated the plan to sink Jacinto to flood the Hallow. And "we" means her and the locust.
