Is it it just me or are there a lot of the these 'accidental' listings? Does anyone else think that this is kind of suss? Maybe these listings are a perhaps a good way of getting a buzz going. If I was a publicity manager, I'd do it that way.

Amen. I own a 360 because of Gears of War 2. Even still, two years in.

Also, Gears of War 3 better be a damn masterpiece. I had enough of the lag/host quits/inconsistant gameplay/horrible matchmaking/hit detection.

Either this will BE TEH perfect/flawless game or the stigma will never disappear.
Oh goodness, I remember the lag from Gears 1... It was traumatizing and rage-inducing. I quit Live by the time that I bought GoW 2, but from what I have heard it suffers many of the same issues. I think that a long while back I may have heard that Gears 3 will feature a much-needed improvement regarding the online, possibly relating to the hosting issue that devastated all other players besides the host.

Yeah, wasn't Microsoft on about making the Kinect a 'family' friendly console?
lol So, I see that violence and gore is much more family friendly then I thought.
But that was so 2010. Microsoft's new 2011 belief is Kinect is unequivocally hardcore and the apotheosis of manly!!! So get ready for the 2011 touting of action far-surpassing 3D because you are the controller, you are shoving a flamethrower into a Locust's rectum, you are Marcus Mother******* Fenix!!!

'Cause, y'know, all of those petty "casual" and "family" gamers bought Kinect for Christmas so they're already hook, line, and sinker.

This would not surprise me and I believe that you are right on about this strategy being an efficacious marketing ploy to generate hype. Just look at all of the attention "rumor-mill" headlines get in pop-culture media and the likes. Leaks don't even have to be veracious, so long as they catch people in a moment of interest.

That or they are just consistently and terribly irresponsible at Gamestop.
