Gen 7 console exclusives

Now that the eighth console generation is here I wanted to go back and pick up a bunch of Gen 7 titles that weren't on PC or really bad ports (looking at you Borderlands). Anybody got any suggestions? I'll be playing on PS3.

Also, what's the PS3 version of Bayonetta like nowadays? I know the 360 version is best but I'm wondering if it's been patched at all.

My number one suggestion is Demon's Souls. One of the best games of the generation, and PS3 exclusive. Other suggestions on exclusives would be The Last of Us, and the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD releases, if you didn't play the Ps2 release, hell even if you did. Surprisingly enough, they were released with full 3D support which i found really enriched the universes and made the game even more beautiful than they already were.

Other than those 3, i can't really comment, because i think every other game i've loved to death over the past few years have been multi-platform.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 is perfect because for one, US players finally get to play Final Mix, and the game is fun. Another series is the Ratchet and Clank Future series. The Infamous Games are also a lot of fun, with a large open world and fun missions. The second is better than the first one though.
Also, if you like Sly Cooper, the 4th game is pretty fun.

It's OK if it was on 360, so long as I can't find it on PC, or if it's rubbish on PC.

I thiiiiink Bayonetta is still bad on PS3. Not sure though.

But exclusives you should pick up:
Nier By god if you enjoy JRPG or story in your game in the slightest you should get Nier. Don't go in expecting fantastic gameplay, but it is fun enough. Set it on normal, go through and do all you can including NG+, it's just a really good story told really well.
Yakuza I've only played Yakuza 3 but it's easy enough to sum up. Some guy goes into a room and says "hmm, I really like Japan, suits, and punching people. What if I put them together?" Slow to start but a really fun in a silly kind of way with a nice, solid combat system.
Disgaea series First off: The first 3 are available on DS, PsP and Vita where applicable. But yeah, Disgaea is one of those strategy JRPGs that ramps everything up to the max. Level cap? 9999. Damage cap? There isn't one. And you're only likely to get to level 90-100 on your initial playthough with no post game content. Well done, fun and silly, it's a series to look for.
Vanquish If you enjoy Bayonetta and Devil May Cry but felt they could use a little more sci-fi and a lot more shooting go pick it up. Platinum's answer to Gears of War.
Shadow of the Colossus and Ico HD Do you really need me to tell you about this? Just get it.
Demons/Dark Souls So Dark Souls was on PC. But it was kind of garbage unless you set out to make it better. Either way, both games are really solid and really fun Action/RPGs that will wreck your shit if you're impatient or just plain bad. Just make sure to play Demon's Souls first, Dark adds a lot of stuff that makes the transition backwards difficult.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Let's say you get the Souls games and you like them. Do you like Monster Hunter? Do you like D&D? Imagine all those put together but slightly worse, and topped off with the "actually a good Capcom game" seal of approval. Dark Arisen is technically an expansion pack but it comes with the full base game included.

That should keep you busy for a while. I mainly play Japanese-ish game and RPGs on my consoles so if that's not what you're looking for my apologies.

If that's the case the the Zone of the Enders HD Collection is also a good choice to grab, along with other HD collections like Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and Sly Cooper.
Okami HD is also available on the PS3 only, and so is Journey, and the Disgaea games (if you like SRPGs).

Whoops, thanks for inadvertently pointing out a serious typo I had to fix. Also, I would like to add Dark Souls to my list. If you ever end up trying Demon's Souls and liking it, you would be remiss not to play Dark Souls, even if it is available on PC(mostly wanted to add it because it's among my top all-time favorite PS3 titles). And by extension I would suggest Dark Souls II when it comes out. Again, you would be remiss not to play it if you enjoyed the Souls series, even if DkSII will also be available on PC.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is also coming out in February, which includes HD remakes of both Tales of Symphonia(based off the PS2 version that America never got) and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. There's also Final Fantasy X | X-2 out in March.

I'm going to be completly original and suggest 3D Dot game heroes. If you like classic zelda games , you will love this game. Its basically a parody zelda game.
