Hhhhmmm...I find thins gratifying...though I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that some crime theorists in America blame the lack of a rise in crime rates to go along with the recession on Video Game...because eh...all those jobless criminals in waiting were too busy pwn-ing in MW2 and running over grannies in GTA4...

Its just nice to read two positive bits of games related news in the mainstream media in one month...

This is one of those times that stokes my desire to go to law school after my bachelor's, because if there's anyone that can truly and effectively stand up for video games in the face of regulatory bodies, it's levelheaded lawyers. Perhaps some other gamers should consider the opportunity likewise.

As far as I know Madworld is still not allowed for sale in Germany, but at least one step in the right direction.
I've seen it in a shop just yesterday, they didn't ban it or anything, just didn't bother to release it there.
But they have import copys in most stores. Its not as bad as everyone thinks^^
Only 11 games got banned in the history of the country, such as the "KZ-Manager"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_video_games
Most of those where banned in the early 90.
And if you censor a game you can buy either the censored version or the uncensored version.

Hah, I knew it wasn't released in Germany, but thought they banned it as well.
Ofc it isn't as bad as they want it to, never is, just like Tom and Jerry with blood, or Simpsons' Itchy and Scratchy human version ;)
