As for the review, another great one Marter, even though the spread for what you review seems to be from 1.5 stars to 3 lately. I know you already hate this year in terms of releases because nothing is either awesome or offensively bad yet, but I'm sure a little later in Spring we'll get some worthwhile films.

Oh God Marter, first criticizing the portrayal of women in modern day action films then using that word? This is dangerously close to you using skeleton language.

All jokes aside, does the movie, at least, make me care about Darnell and his situation? Based on the TV commercial spots I've seen, they seem to make me think that I should care more about that character than of James in the first place...

So it's basically that one episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where Mac's dad wants them to smuggle heroin, but Mac and Charlie just keep saying they want to get hard? Except apparently less funny than It's Always Sunny.

See, unfortunately the attitude of "this guy is a jerk" equating to "deserves prison" despite having done nothing deserving such is an attitude I can't get behind. People all over the planet are jerks and while it sucks, being a jerk is not a crime. Its a part of being a human being in a free society. When you cross a boundary that harms a person in a financial, physical or way that can be construed as criminal, then being a jerk can yes be a crime. But simply being ignorant is unfortunately, and thankfully not a crime.
It actually devalues my opinion of people who speak in such a way, where they say things like "Well they didn't actually commit the crime but I don't actually care if they are exonerated because they're jerks" is in and of itself just as much being a jerk, and just as ignorant.
