Ghostbusters LEGO Build Recreates Mr. Stay Puft's Manhattan Assault

Flickr user OliveSeon has created a huge LEGO diorama depicting the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man's march through the streets of New York.

Ghostbusters is a beloved film that plays host to a practical treasure trove of great jokes, fantastic one liners and action set pieces that are truly unique among the wider body of cinema. After all, what other movie can you think of that includes a giant Godzilla-esqye marshmallow man? In fact, when I think back on my personal memories of the flick the final confrontation with Gozer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is easily the image that stands out the most.

That in mind, you can imagine my delight when I stumbled across this nifty new LEGO build recreating Stay Puft's epic march through Manhattan. The product of OliveSeon, a Flickr user from South Korea, his Ghostbusters diorama is both detailed and huge. Sincerely, it doesn't come across in a lot of the pictures, but Mr. Stay Puft easily a few tall on his own.

This, of course, isn't the first time we've seen Ghostbusters go LEGO. A successful CUUSOO campaign led to <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/131844-Ghostbusters-LEGO-Set-Celebrates-Films-30th-Anniversary>LEGO adopting a fan made Ghostbusters set as an official product last year. Likewise, another campaign launched in 2014 has been working to convince LEGO to release an <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/133893-Ghostbusters-Stay-Puft-Marshmallow-Man-Heads-to-LEGO-CUUSOO>official Mr. Stay Puft model. Not to put that guy down, but OliveSeon's Stay Puft is, in my humble opinion, a tad more impressive in terms of both scale and detail. Take a look at his build and let us know your thoughts.

And yet, when I see him in that scene, all I can think of is:

"We're taking it all wrong. He's a sailor in New York, we get him laid and everything is OK!"

Still, nice work!

Heh. My first thought was "Nobody steps on a church in MY TOWN!"

This is a great build. Worthy of praise.
