Isn't it kinda typical for any political youtuber? Sargon of Akkad won't go after the right and Three Arrows won't go after the left. Both sides then justify it with claiming that their side isn't the existentialist threat while the other is.

And of course Moviebob wouldn't be accepted. He's kinda extreme. No bad tactics, only bad targets and such.
I mean Sargon was banned from twitter for sending interracial gay porn to far right people to deliberately piss them off so he actually has done in the past lol.
I mean Chris Ray Gun isn't a breadtuber but he's left wing and quite critical of the left because he's an Anti-SJW.
Same with Laci Green she's left wing but was critical of the more insane things that she started to see on the left.

Bob's non bad tactics only bad targets isn't seen as a bad thing by some, that's really not what got him into trouble. It's more Bob is seen as bad PR to them because he's honest but also fails to tow the line sometimes too on some issues.

Yes. Fossil fuel. The hint is in the name: burning stuff for energy. It really is that easy, if you just think for a moment.
And yet a big contributor to part of the problem of climate change is fast fashion especially that using oil derivatives. So what she doesn't really believe if fighting climate change?

That's where the problem comes in.

Native, as in the same root as natal (relating to birth) or nativity (birth); from Latin, nativitas (birth). In a country where the law of the land makes you automatically a citizen by being born on its territory.
Still being used to misrepresent where she really came from.

Her mother had to work as a cleaner to keep the household afloat, she went to a public school. Is that typical of "middle class" affluence to you? It's the irony, I guess: people want more people from modest backgrounds in power, and then when they get there people like you storm in and launch all your venom at them rather than the scions of millionaires. Although I understand the problem to some degree: people from modest backgrounds have got to national office, just unfortunately female and left-wing.
Compared to the level of poverty of some places she still had a rather comfortable life. You might as well be presenting Boris Johnson as a working class hero if those are the standards considering his background lol.

The photo was taken before her election to Congress. That's the sort of thing you'd know if you checked basic facts.
So pure campaign PR in the end

I'm not obliged to answer all the stupid, pointless questions I'm set. They get answered if they're worth answering.
You wont answer because you can't and wish to find an excuse. It's a common tactic when pointed questions are asked that kind of break the narrative you want to argue.

Should I leave you alone to have fun with the Strawman you seem to so desperately wish to argue with instead of me?

The bottom line of your question about an "echo friendly" hoodie is still that you are fabricating a position someone doesn't hold and then calling them a hypocrite for failing to meet it. Why dignify that nonsense?
So AOC doesn't care about climate change or environmental protection etc?

"In hindsight, if I had understood how it would be perceived, the reaction people would have, obviously I wouldn't have done it,"
Which goes to show just what a tool Ted Cruz is, because I wouldn't need hindsight to understand how it would be perceived if I skipped town to a hot beach after an arctic blast cut off the central heating to my constituents.

If you think that trip was "planned", I suggest you look more carefully at Cruz's own statements on it, and the leaked texts from his wife. And the fact one his wife's friends was sufficiently unimpressed to leak the texts tells you just how obvious it should have been for how it would be perceived.
Did you expect better of Ted Cruz who has been seen as a snake or the grass for years and was even being called something like Flip Floppy Cruz at one point by Trump?

Congratulations: you guessed a centre-left Briton who has not uncommonly posted links to the Guardian reads the Guardian. Next you'll be able to do long division.
yeh can't have things disrupting the nice social orders too much eh

Yeah, somebody being a shithead sometimes isn't really a disqualifier for Disney employment. Continuing to be a *loud* shithead who isn't instrumental in keeping a series running might end up with your contract not being renewed though.

Don't bullshit me so pathetically.

Still being used to misrepresent where she really came from.

Compared to the level of poverty of some places she still had a rather comfortable life. You might as well be presenting Boris Johnson as a working class hero if those are the standards considering his background lol.
Working class is not the same as "poor". I had a tradesman in not so long ago to do some work on the house who talked about how much he made, and it was well above the UK median salary. That's how it is: skilled manual labour has salaries equivalent to the lower middle. This is represented in the classic NRS social grading scheme: C1 (lower middle) and C2 (skilled working) are both C because they have comparable incomes - the difference is more social (mode of work, academic attainment, etc.). This trademan wanted to work hard and send his daughter to university - first in his family - much like AOC's father did. And if she gets there, I guess you can sneer at him and his daughter too, for not being working class enough, or whatever bizarre chip is on your shoulder.

The fact you equate AOC with Boris Johnson - who had aristocratic forebears, high status father, educated at an independent school with annual fees potentially higher than AOC's father's annual salary - shows nothing more than how divorced your argument is from the reality of millions you share a planet with.

If AOC had talked about how grindingly poor she was you might have a point, but she doesn't. She talks about the efforts her family made to pay the bills and support her advancement. She talks about her split life between Yorktown and the Bronx because it allowed her to see the differences. When she claims to be working class, she can because she had an upbringing recognisable to lots of the working classes, many of whom are like her beneficiaries of their parents' efforts and have moved to middle, or like AOC's parents are working to offer that to their children. That's also my family two generations back: my grandrather was born and raised working class, and his family worked and scrimped and saved to send him to university.

You wont answer because you can't and wish to find an excuse.
I won't answer because it's a dishonest, loaded question based on a fake premise.

We can all play that game. So Dwarven, answer me: considering the above, why do you hate the working classes so much?

Here:

Working class is not the same as "poor". I had a tradesman in not so long ago to do some work on the house who talked about how much he made, and it was well above the UK median salary. I'll damn well sneer at AOC for pretending to have gone to some struggling inner city school that was very deprived when in reality it was a pretty damn cushy school she went to.

You know why I'm "Sneering" at AOC and co?

Because she's trying to pretend to be a person of the people while in reality only really trying to appeal to the middle / upper middle class people also fairly comfortably off. I've seen places even in the UK who were so underfunded and so poor the school had got 2 text books for a whole year group in a subject and the teachers just had to photocopy the stuff because there wasn't the money for more textbooks. Places where some of the classrooms still had chalk boards because they couldn't afford to replace them with whiteboards, and this wasn't that long ago.

Where I went to school ended up more recently rated as one of the worst schools in the UK and you know what? It was far better than some of the places I've seen in the UK in terms of facilities and funding and was in far better shape years before I saw some of the other places.

The fact you equate AOC with Boris Johnson - who had aristocratic forebears, high status father, educated at an independent school with annual fees potentially higher than AOC's father's annual salary - shows nothing more than how divorced your argument is from the reality of millions you share a planet with.
And yet AOC is as divorced from realities in many cases to pretend that she came from some poor school that struggled to get by so the comparison is very apt.

I won't answer because it's a dishonest, loaded question based on a fake premise.
Yet the premises aren't fake. The only dishonesty here is you refusing to answer because you know said questions don't have answers that would be good for your argument and would only expose the faulty logic and holes in the arguments you've presented.

We can all play that game. So Dwarven, answer me: considering the above, why do you hate the working classes so much?
Simple answer. I don't hate the working class. I hate people pretending to be it while in reality being very much closer to being a champagne socialist

Since when was an AOC hoodie fast fashion? Why do you just make this shit up as if no-one's going to notice?

I'll damn well sneer at AOC for pretending to have gone to some struggling inner city school that was very deprived when in reality it was a pretty damn cushy school she went to.
Cite everyone, chapter and verse, where she says she went to a deprived, inner city school.

You know why I'm "Sneering" at AOC and co?
Yes, I do: because you're neck deep in the alt right and all their vibes.

Because she's trying to pretend to be a person of the people
You mean because she comes from the bottom 50% of the income scale, and only the bottom 30% will satisfy you? Or are you angry because she's also a feminist, and pro-minorities?

Simple answer. I don't hate the working class. I hate people pretending to be it while in reality being very much closer to being a champagne socialist
No, Dwarven, you're not answering the question. I asked you why you hate the working classes. You have supplied an answer to a different question that I didn't ask. You can only be refusing to do so because "you know said questions don't have answers that would be good for your argument", as you put it.

Since when was an AOC hoodie fast fashion? Why do you just make this shit up as if no-one's going to notice?
Well when the Green New Deal term changes / drops from being "Pop culture" then the hoodie has less and less impact or reason. On one hand it could be seen as people just wanting to support AOC but on the other hand it could be people wanting to more publicly show they're "Good people" or whatever wearing it and once it drops out of public consciousness suddenly it becomes worthless to them and will be discarded in favour of something else.

Cite everyone, chapter and verse, where she says she went to a deprived, inner city school.
Yet that is the perception of saying you're from the Bronx..............

Yes, I do: because you're neck deep in the alt right and all their vibes.
So not even going to respond to my actual answer.

Should I leave you with the strawman you wish to argue with instead of me?

Or are you angry because she's also a feminist, and pro-minorities?
Ok so when did I ever say or imply those are why I was angry at her?

Also to address the previous point. It's a common tactic of champagne socialists to claim to be working class, if she'd said Lower Middle Class or presented herself that way it would be more arguable but working class comes with certain connotations and seemed more of a deliberate political move rather than anything else and I think it was a clip of Tulsi Gabbard on the Joe Rogan experience once where she said there's this pressure to take political sides rather than care about issues so you'll vote down bill from the other side then are meant to vote for almost the exact same bill when proposed by your own side. As such such partisan positioning is ultimately the enemy of real progress.

No, Dwarven, you're not answering the question. I asked you why you hate the working classes. You have supplied an answer to a different question that I didn't ask. You can only be refusing to do so because "you know said questions don't have answers that would be good for your argument", as you put it.
Would you also like me to answer if I've stopped beating your wife yet?
How can I answer a question with no factual basis to what's being asked especially when the answer I give is not accepted?
It would be like me asking how it's going with you experiments feeding LSD to Dolphins? Then when you said you don't refused to accept the answer and say you must tell me how it's going?

snip hoodie fast fashion waffle
Dude. Fast fashion is an intentional, profit-led economic model of clothes production. Clothing companies look at rapid changing trends in high fashion and rip them off with low quality, disposable, cheap imitations on the understanding that you'll mostly junk them when the next season (like, literally 3 months) arrives and buy a new set.

The minute you are trying to construct a speculative hypothesis for why AOC's hoodie could, due to circumstantial possibilities, end up unfavoured and not worn again requiring people to get a new hoodie, you may as well accept that your argument that it is fast fashion is bullshit.

Yet that is the perception of saying you're from the Bronx..............
Ultimately, I think I'd leave the final say mostly to people from the Bronx for whether she's "one of them", and let's face it, there's no legion of Bronx residents furious with AOC lying to them about and misrepresenting her upbringing. There's just, well, you. And your complaints look more than a little manufactured, like with the AOC hoodie thing that you ripped off a columnist from a frothing, evangelical Christian, right wing website.

Also to address the previous point. It's a common tactic of champagne socialists to claim to be working class, if she'd said Lower Middle Class or presented herself that way it would be more arguable but working class comes with certain connotations and seemed more of a deliberate political move rather than anything else and...
I would suggest champagne socialists very rarely claim to be working class, because the term inherently refers to people leading affluent lifestyles. The tendency to exaggerate modest roots is very common. One can see the attraction in order to make oneself seem more virtuous and rising on account of one's own talents rather than the advantages of wealth, irrespective of political leaning. Although more invidious, I think, is the right wing's trumpeting of the same, in an attempt to pretend wealth doesn't rig society to the benefit of the rich so much.

There is of course the question about what working class is. One can get an idea for the USA here or here. But most problematic for your argument is that so few people think AOC isn't working class. The simple fact is that she would be metaphorically murdered for lying about it, not just by right wing media, but a lot of the left too: and she is not. There's no shortage of people and powerful media happy to take AOC down. The simplest answer to why she is not attacked over these is because those attacks are not credible. (Worse, of course, they could alienate other working class voters who might feel it is also an attack on them.)

And so what all this really boils down to is that her upbringing was not deprived enough for you, and you are then No True Scotsmanning out the not-so-poor working classes as being working class. As the saying goes, you are entitled to have your opinion, you are not entitled to it being agreed with or respected.

I honestly don't think your hate boner against AOC is really about this, though. Given you repeatedly cite material from heavily right wing, reactionary, antifeminist sources, keep banging G***g*** related drums, et cetera I think you're really going after her because you resent her social justice stances.

Would you also like me to answer if I've stopped beating your wife yet?

Also it doesn't have to be cheap just the push to keep up with the latest thing in fashion and quickly going through clothes getting rid of those no longer fashionable.

Also shouldn't you know people on her supposed side actually be calling her out on this stuff rather than trying to deflect and pretend it's not valid or doesn't matter unless some-one deemed worthy of being allowed to have said views says it and it doesn't warrant some action unless it's "The right kind of people" calling it out?

I would suggest champagne socialists very rarely claim to be working class, because the term inherently refers to people leading affluent lifestyles. The tendency to exaggerate modest roots is very common. No it actually is quite common to pretend to be working class while really not being especially in some socialist circles.

There is of course the question about what working class is. One can get an idea for the USA here or here. But most problematic for your argument is that so few people think AOC isn't working class. Which ones? Believe women...... unless they're accusing Joe Biden or anyone else on "your side"?

Being for unity but then wanting anyone not 100% in line kicked out of government?

Calling for government officially to not collect their paychecks during shutdowns, while she still happily claimed hers and not leading by example?

How about being for the environment unless it means taking public transport?

Railing against dark money in politics but being perfectly fine to stand by your campaign manager who funnelled a cool $1 Million into personal businesses he owns?

Exactly: you don't think it is reasonable to answer the loaded questions I set you. Therefore you should now understand why I'm not answering the loaded questions you set me.
No I don't think it's reasonable to be expected to give a binary answer to a question where the truth doesn't fit either of them because the question itself relies on the implicit acceptance of something.

The questions I asked didn't require that. They were just pointed and could perfectly happily be denied or rejected. You won't answer them because you know they force the confrontation with reality.

I gave my opinion that it wasn't a good luck for AOC to misrepresent stuff. I never said to speak for all the people of the Bronx.

The same blend of attempted ad hominem, semantics and sophistry.

Or your opinion on that stuff is wrong.
Oh right rules for thee but not for me has been rather a stance of some hasn't it. Because consistent standards be damned.

Yawn. These are pretty much just variations of what's already mentioned - damning people for failing to meet the unreasonable expectations you've fabricated for them.
I'm sorry how are those unreasonable expectations?

Hell how is it unreasonable for some-one with an existing product line that doesn't use oil product to be expected to make it so the new extremely similar item to existing lines that's all about promoting a bill protecting the environment also do the same?

It's funny how you refuse to actually justify the claims it's unreasonable in the face of reality because it is you who has no way to advance your argument other than try the Trumpian position of repeating the claim it's unreasonable again and again and hoping people just accept it.

Okay, so you do admit they are loaded bullshit. Here again, you need to learn to move on.

No, you repeated your argument in different words. And the No True Scotsman was in relation to a different point. Here, you simply failed to make a case in the first place, and still haven't.

I'm just going to ignore anything you say on this topic from here on in if you don't supply anything substantial.

I gave my opinion that it wasn't a good luck for AOC to misrepresent stuff. I never said to speak for all the people of the Bronx.
You need to actually demonstrate AOC misrepresenting her background. As it is, you are merely offering an opinion that she is not from the Bronx and an opinion that she is not working class, neither of which I and most of the global population seem to find convincing.

Except the site isn't frothing nor evangelical lol
It was founded as a more serious sister site to The Babylon Bee (a "The Onion" imitator for right-wing evangelicals) by the same creators. That's why it attacks abortion, atheism, LGBTQ, socialists, social justice, etc.

As for dumbly repeat whatever. You realise your arguement is the same one I've seen repeated time and time again on the internet from people claiming to have similar position to you?

The same blend of attempted ad hominem, semantics and sophistry.
Well, funnily enough for someone complaining about ad hominem, your explanation for why I and many others don't agree with you boils down to accusing us of being biased and hypocrites. Or that you introduced the term "champagne socialist" which is at core nothing but an ad hominem.

In terms of semantics, the argument about what "working class" means is naturally tricky, because there is no hard and fast objective definition. But I sure know that your argument of "She was better off than some deprived kids I once saw" doesn't hold a lot of water.

I'm sorry how are those unreasonable expectations?
Because it's a straw man. Jesus wept, we've already been over this.

And you admit you won't answer them because the answer you want to give reveals your hypocrisy while the answer that is truthful requires you to admit defeat.

You need to actually demonstrate AOC misrepresenting her background. As it is, you are merely offering an opinion that she is not from the Bronx and an opinion that she is not working class, neither of which I and most of the global population seem to find convincing.

It was founded as a more serious sister site to The Babylon Bee (a "The Onion" imitator for right-wing evangelicals) by the same creators. That's why it attacks abortion, atheism, LGBTQ, socialists, social justice, etc.
It also made fun of Trump, Republicans, China ad many other issues too

Well, funnily enough for someone complaining about ad hominem, your explanation for why I and many others don't agree with you boils down to accusing us of being biased and hypocrites. Or that you introduced the term "champagne socialist" which is at core nothing but an ad hominem.
No it's a useful term to apply to people who espouse certain views but in reality only do so to get to the top and take advantage while not working to actually fix anything.

Also how is it not biased when you've apparently chosen to ignore things I've posted and push rather silly arguments like taking public transport is insanely hard and unreasonable to ask a person to do?

In terms of semantics, the argument about what "working class" means is naturally tricky, because there is no hard and fast objective definition. But I sure know that your argument of "She was better off than some deprived kids I once saw" doesn't hold a lot of water.
And yours of 'She's only better off than 49% of the ret of the country' hardly counts either

Because it's a straw man. Jesus wept, we've already been over this.
No it's not, if it were a strawman can you say why when it's based on what you said and argued it isn't your argument?
Otherwise this is sophistry

Fine. So let's try that again and go back a few posts. Tell us: why do you hate the working classes?

(I'm posting an archive because it's The Mary Sue and they mostly don't pay people who write for them outside of a tiny handful of writers so I don't feel bad in this case denying their CEO HIS money from some-one elses writing)

Today’s Disney Shareholder Call Had Some Gross Star Wars Questions
Disney+ has hit a milestone with over 100 million subscribers, which comes on the heels of #CancelDisney+ trending from outraged right-wing figures over the firing of Gina Carano. That milestone is important to note because clearly, their boycott attempts aren’t working.
worth pointing out in the UK Disney Plus is being included free with some phone contracts. 12 month contract 12 months Disney Plus included so that's likely boosted number a bit.

But it did open the door to the shareholders asking some … interesting questions that mirror that of the very loud and rude male fanbase surrounding the Star Wars franchise.
claiming the shareholders are rude eh?

So when the shareholders began asking questions, it was jarring to hear this sexist rhetoric and nonsense questioning that often exists online being parroted at Disney CEO Bob Chapek on a call.
calling Disney Shareholders sexist

Chapek went on to say that Disney stands for “values,” ones that are universal and values of respect, and I think that’s a beautiful way to answer questions like these and shut down these “trolls” who want to act like they didn’t hate the idea of Cara Dune when The Mandalorian was announced anyway.
calling shareholders Trolls

Hopefully, in the future, they keep these sort of fan-based ridiculous anger questions out of the calls, but still.
They're upset at investors and shareholders at Disney for asking questions about these things and the Mary Sue seemingly has decided to go after Shareholders od Disney now because that really isn't going to poison the shares for Disney or anything of media people are going to start attacking shareholders over asking the wrong kind of questions and not the nice happy acceptable kind of companies they partly own due to their share holdings.
