Definitely seems like a "take that" against religion, as opposed to a tool to be used in the upbringing of children, so I'd advise against anybody getting their britches wedged too far up their backsides. At this point, it's nothing more than vaporware, and the concept sounds like a joke to begin with (upload the entire bible to your computer so that it can block the parts it recognizes? Right.) I know this is going to turn into a shit-storm of "those closed-minded Atheists are just as bad as everyone else now", but if you ask me, that seems to be missing the tongue-in-cheek statement being made. Hell, I'd wager that those reactions would be what they were going for, as part of a deliberate, ironic indictment of the same dumbfounding actions religious people make all the time.
While there's always a chance they're serious, I wouldn't bet anything valuable on it. While there are non-religious people out there stupid enough to make something like this and be completely serious about their mission statement, that's really not the vibe I'm getting.
Besides, it's not like there's a market for this. I highly doubt that any Atheists would even consider this necessary, as the vast majority of Atheists I've spoken to (both gnostic and agnostic) were simply given freedom of choice by their parents, and intend to do the same for their children. When searching for answers on your own, the people that can back up their claims and have no problem humbly admitting "hey, we don't know yet, simple as that" definitely have the most attractive explanations to a rational mind, and the story usually ends there.
