So it seems that GTA V will be released on September 17th 2013...and not some time in Spring as was previously thought of.

So Thoughts? Opinions? Arbitrary comparisons to Saints Row?

Anyone need a good laugh? http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=543831

Seriously, they are FREAKING OUT. It's hilarious. Still can't believe I'm a member of those forums.

Meh, I sort of like the new date, it's just before my birthday so there's a good chance I wont have to pay for it ^_^

Honestly, I'd rather them finish the game than release a buggy, broken game.

More time to deliver a bugfree polished game. I would have loved to see it sooner but it`s fine. I won`t die over a release date.

I honestly believe people bitching that the release day was pushed back is wrong. I'm in fact happy that it's been pushed back, and they should make no apologies for this. If they want to take more time to polish the game, iron out bugs and really make it sparkle for release, they should. I'd be happy for a 2014 release if that meant I ended up with a better product.

Stupid, spoiled, entitled dicks, what the fuck do they want it sooner for anyway? Grand Theft Auto is a masterpiece of a franchise. There's nothing else like it and I'm enjoying the anticipation. San Andreas and IV are still keeping me as entertained as ever... worth waiting for.

^ Exactly. The GTA series still has lots of potential to be good, so it makes sense that we should give rockstar more time to make GTA V be the best that it can.

I kinda felt ashamed when I saw the comments on the rockstar announcement page. Jesus Christ what is wrong with these people? They are actually insulting the developers for making an additional game to a great series. Why the fuck cant we be supportive and tell them that we are looking forward to their product instead of whining that we'll have to wait a few extra months. They have absolutely NO right to insult them. I feel bad for the devs, but at least the reaction is fine here.

That pretty much sums it up.

I'm just glad we GOT a release date. Besides, I'm still having fun with Far Cry 3.

My flatmate keeps saying that Grand Theft Auto 5 will render all other games obsolete. I imagine that he'll not be pleased by the extended release date, but then he craves dissapointment anyway so it's really in his best interest.

Honestly I kinda forgot about it. I can also wait that long so I can finish up with any of the other games I got recently. I expect Dark Souls to take me another couple of weeks or so since I can't play every second week, if it is as hard as everyone says it is.
[sub]I ran into the giant wolf thing and seriously hope its an optional boss or something though, because its the only thing I have had severe problems with so far.[/sub]
Anyway, I hope its as good as I found GTA III.

Customers don't know what they want... Fanboys are complaining their asses now about a delay but if it was released unfinished it would be all they would talk about for about 6 months, funny no?

When they announce a pc port I might care.

I am not annoyed in the sense of "How dare they?!", but it's kind of a pain considering there aren't any other games beyond Bioshock Infinite out this spring that I actually want to play. It's good that the game will no doubt benefit from the delay, but still a little irksome.

It is good. Just play The Ballad Of Gay Tony which in my opinion is the best work Rockstar ever did with the GTA franchise. It mixes the zaniness that's second nature to GTA with the serious world of GTA4 and presented an interesting cast, good black humour and solid gameplay.

Except for the helicopter controls on the PC. Fuck those.

Hey that's on my birthday!

I expected something later in the year or early next year.

I'll be renting it.

I personally don't get the constant lust for new titles. I'm quite happy playing the same old games for years if they're still fun, and looking forward to new titles is good too, and the more time and effort they put into them, the better.

I still fill entire days with San Andreas and IV. V will be worth the wait.

Ah, fuck. I've already preordered it and payed it off since I thought it was in May. Oh well. Rockstar usually release fairly high quality. I'm sure the extra few months will be worth the wait.
