I haven't played a Gran Trismo since PS2 and that is mostly because I have not been able to find a good steering wheel with pedals to go with it. That was some good memories using that for Gran Trismo and Ridge Racer back on PS1.

So 9 years since the last numbered GT game, and the series basically skipped and entire console generation. Big oofs in chat.
With the Tempest Audio chip now there should be no reason for cars to sound like anything other than cars. Apparently Sport was an improvement but goddamn did even the PS3 games sound like diarrhea farts in a wet paper bag. Absolutely pathetic next to what other games on the system managed to sound like.
I am kinda surprised because you seem like a big playstation fan. I've been playing a lot forza as well because I had an xbox one for the last like 5 years or so but I am really looking forward to GT7 on ps5. I remember loving this game back in the day on PS1 and PS2...
I didnt get into driving games until the 360 era and i had an xbox that generation not a ps3. Actually i never got a ps3 until damn near the end of the systems life cycle.
Then as @BrawlMan listed there wasnt really a GT game in the ps4 era. Sport i thought was a spin off game and wasnt interested. But ill definitely be getting GT7.

Yup, gonna go ahead and call a huge load of bs on that one. The only way that could happen is if they spec’d it out on PS4 and didn’t bother taking advantage of PS5’s extra horsepower (no pun) at all, which would be really bloody stupid because it would be like a big F.U. to all the people who managed to buy one and are looking forward to an audio-visual experience the PS4 simply cannot provide.
We’ll see what DF says whenever gameplay builds are tested. I really hate the cross gen years and it’s partly why I have no issue watching from the sidelines during them.
