GRR Martin/FROMSOFT game could be at E3

Sure, I mean, both attempts to adapt Game of Thrones to a game were dismal and shackling your video game to something that was (until very recently) as tightly a woven linear narrative as GOT is a recipe for disaster.

Best case scenario you end up with something like the 40K Eisenhorn walking simulator games.

Then again, I'd like a FROMSOFT where you get to explore the ruins of Valyria or something set 5000 years later with a whole new story.

Huh, that one actually looks.......... not good but I think it has the right idea.

It just uses the setting and locations and does not try to shoehorn in characters or story elements of the novels. (because 1000 years in the past)

Well, if Bethesda won't make a new TES game and is focusing on MMO crap, might as well let From make one I guess lol. I'm incredibly interested in how they'll handle that style of game. I don't expect it to be first person so this will be less Skyrim and more Dragon's Dogma/Witcher 3 though.

Probably not.

It'll most likely have much better combat, and much less dialogue, and probably a smaller more dense world.

So...like a version of Skyrim that's more focused and actually good.

Hmm not really feeling the name, especially when it?s half of the ?Scrolls? series. Maybe some context would help warm me up to it though. Dark Souls was supposed to be called Dark Ring too. Seems to be some fascination with rings.

Prolly it's a not too subtle reference to Tolkien. And hey, if it's a TES-like game like it was described I can see them using that name as a sort of jab at bethesda and its recent turn into an mmo-centric dev.
