Guess Who's Not Directing The God of War Movie?

I know this is from Kotaku, but I had to share it because it is such good news! No Brett Ratner!!! Yah!!! So, who do YOU think should direct a God of War movie? If I had my pick I would get Ridley Scott to direct it or maybe David Twohy.

And Kratos MUST be Vin Diesel. He is the only man in Hollywood awesome enough to be the Kratos.

Director Brett Ratner announced last fall that he is doing a big screen version of Sony hack-and-slash game God of War. This month, it's announced that he's not (for the time being).

Ratner has shelved plans to adapt God of War, leaving the project to fester in Hollywood development hell.

Normally I would be with you. But God of War is practically a movie to begin with. All they have to do it string together the cut scenes with some good stuff in between. If a good director did it right it would be the next "Clash of the Titans".

Now, I think that's going a bit far, but I agree. The original Tomb Raider was decent, but every other one sucked hard.

Which is definitely what's going to happen with a God of War movie, I assure you. An awesome concept for a game, but a stupid one for a movie.

No, his movies tend to unamnimously suck. Even if he is a gamer, he needs to be an actor first.

I think it's hilarious that Uwe Boll thinks fans get upset because he isn't faithful to the IPs he deals with. We're really just upset that he's a terrible director who turns everything he touches into a pile of over-produced shit. So we figure in the absence of any actual talent, he could at least be true to the source material.

I vote Christopher Gans. Guy seems to know where his towel is.

Lead should be Vin Deisel, sure, or that main guy from 300(Leonidas) Seems like the right voice and attitude, and he's already proven he can be a bad-assed spartan.

Thats what people said about Comic Book movies. Then The Dark Knight came out.

On the other hand, the movie would have been nothing without Heath Ledger.
