Halo? Halo is only on xbox and there are plenty of games better than it. Why not Zelda? Why not Mario? Why not megaman? Halo is the same
game with added story an areas.

they still make Megaman games? I have fond memories of writing down the passwords for Megaman 2.

I'm a massive Halo fanboy, and I love the series with a diehard passion. But I wouldn't say it's the number one series in gaming. I can think of several other games and series that are better and more deserving of the top spot. Ah well. I won't judge the writers though until I know exactly what they were using to judge the list (since they may or may not have reasonable justification for putting Halo at the top...).

The Guinness World Records 2010 Gamer's Edition is now available, a "gaming bible" packed with all kinds of interesting and largely useless information pertaining to the weird and wonderful world of videogames.

The 2009 version had a world record for "Most Difficult Pipeweed to Create", I think we can assume that their view of gaming is VASTLY different to ours.

What abou the great long running series like Zelda, Mario, you know series that have been around for a long time?

Don't forget Metroid, a game that actually did new things with the First Person (Shooter/Adventure) genre rather then being just another bland lets be Marines and kill aliens game.
