Guitar hero Wii sucks?

I have guitar hero for the Wii... am I the only person who feels the controls are unresponsive and the tanking frame rate makes it all but impossible to play expert on?

Here's what I mean. Every damn time I sit down I have to calibrate it because the batteries in the Wii mote are a tinny different charge then they were before and it reacts just that much slower.

I've stopped playing Guitar Hero World Tour because the frame rate gets laggy and just destroys any chance of playing. So I stick to Guitar hero 3 and can only play about 15 mins before getting frustrated by the unresponsive controls and going off to do something fun.

Is this JUST the Wii or if I switch to the PS3 version will I notice the same things?

I've never really noticed the difference, to be honest with you. Mind you I'm pretty rubbish at noticing un-calibrated controls - generally i just adjust my playing to suit. But you may be right.

I noticed when I had GH3 on 360, that the wireless guitars are awful for responsivness. Glad I kept my wired one from GH2 which I never had a problem with, aside my own occasional ham handedness

Hmm, perhaps I should switch to the PS3 to fix the frame rate issue, and buy wired instead... Good post, thx.

ive played guitar hero on all 3 next gen consoles, and gotta say the WII has the most problems of the lot by far, but i mean for such a cheap and crap console what did you really expect?
What do you mean? I expected nothing less than it to just exude magic and be like a sheet cake made of victory... lol, jk jk Good point what DID I expect. Well, maybe to have fun with it, too bad it disappointed there.

My Wii version kicks ass. The framerate is as low as fuck for the Backgrounds, but the highways are fine.

I have GH III, GH IV, GH V(shite), GH Metallica and Rock Band II.

Highway is all that matters, right? Who looks at the backgrounds.

I played GH on my young cousin's Wii, and it ran fine.

I still freaking don't like the series. But it helps entertain young children.

Yeah, it isn't for everybody.

The only framerate drops I get are minor ones in the larger stages on GH Metallica, but apart from that, gameplay is lag free and perfectly synchronised.

Yea I had a Wii for some time. I have the 360 now. Playing Guitar Hero 3 on Wii was horrible. Even though the graphics were a considerable downgrade from those of the 360/PS3, it still lagged horribly. The notes would occasionally stop moving or speed up for a half second or so.

Just bad.
that's EXACTLY what I'm having problems with, it pauses for a split second then speeds along to cethch up, or chopps out... not acceptable in a game that demands fast response time.
