My only gripe so far is that the A.I seems a bit slow to react. I noticed a few times that they took nearly a second to fire on the blue team.

Buy yeah, definitely a MOBA vibe in this game mode. I noticed there was Blue Team Marine A.Is in some of the bases, so I wonder if they will only defend or can move out to attack other bases.

This sounds fair alright actually. I really dislike MOBAs, probably because I'm shit at them, but I do like certain elements being put into other genres. I like this.

Good article. Really cleared up the vagueness of the announcement trailer.

Seems like a really interesting gametype. I especially like the way there's no real incentive for the matches to descend into team deathmatch. Seems like there's a few kinks to be worked out yet; The enemy AI seems unusually sluggish for a Halo game, for example. I want the AI to punish me as much as a human player might, if not more. That's the Halo way of doing things.

That's the Bungie Halo way of doing things. 343's Halo 4 AI was several levels worse than that of Reach. Reach Heroic/legendary Elites were nimble, brutal killing machines. Enemies in Halo 4 were just ridiculous bullet sponges.

That said I'm cautiously interested in this new mode.

Reach had brilliant AI alright, but you're on the money about the Halo 4. The Prometheans were worse than the Covenant AI though; they played defensively and just acted like bullet sponges most of the time.

Really this should be more MOBA like.
Like Battlefront. Wouldn't it be more fun if there were soft lanes with allied soldiers pushing to the enemy core? If you could use spend requisition points to summon reinforcements?

The whole randomly spawned Prometheans just seems poorly implemented with the rest of the game. Also they're worth way too many points.

And they had that stupid teleport. It was so annoying because half the time they would tele somewhere out of sight and recharge their shield. Causing you too need to unload another whole 2-3 clips to kill them.
