That sounds like a bad idea.
I'm left with these questions: How much will Natal cost? Will I need to have it? Does owning the Natal give an advantage? If so, will it be in multiplayer? If so, how will it be balanced? If not, is that fair?

Yeah. Think about this.

How the **** is Natal going to be able to differentiate 4 players all on camera. What if a dog walks by? What if something falls over, or they switch positions? Will people have to be lined up in certain spots in order to hold certain player slots?

Natal has an interesting premise but honestly? It's a generation too early, like the Wii, and I still pray to everything holy in the universe... That this motion control time is just a fad, because if it isn't...

I could see the car working if the controller was still involed, i.e. like the wii wheel. Hold the control in front of you, you pless the trigger or whatever for excelleration but the camera picks up your movements to move the stiring wheel.

Hang on...the Wii wheel didn't work. I think I'll shut up now...

This would be just plain bad idea, halo works fine the way it is though story and other such detail may be needed but the idea of using natal did not work for wii and should not work for xbox 360 and Halo.

in short Natal = Fail for most purposes

I wasn't aware that the wii used Natal. I believe the wii is Motion sensing (Done very poorly) and Natal is a form of VR.

On topic: I think using Natal for halo reach could be cool, however, all we know about it is that its an FPS and its called halo reach, and is possibly based on a halo novel blahdy blahdy blah, However, using it for say, head movements, throwing grenades and driving (Which seems to work pretty well with natal, if burnout is anything to go by) might be fun, although I hope it doesnt become like the DS and wii where every game has some sort of needless natal use at some point. Either have a reason for it, use it smartly, or just base the whole game around using natal.

I think it might work well for a third person action game (Full body tracking + Third person action = FUN.)

As a "GAMER"..why am I being asked to move my body? I mean besides my fingers..and using my voice to scream obscenities to the mic..why should I move again?

As far as I remember..one of the last games to use a "lean" feature was the original xbox game Rainbow Six Lockdown..I don't recall playing a 360 game that had leaning in it..infact leaning is usually left to the PC version of games..

Could we wait till it's actually released before you decide if it's a failure? Sure, I'm not gonna defend it, but I'm not gonna storm Washington with a bunch of minions, either. Microsoft has not even really released enough to have a good enough idea, yet. The Wii also has yet to be a failure. Oh, grant you, the gamers who made Nintendo what it is are being ignored most of the time... Things will turn around when the remember why they need people to keep buying their products ("Oh yeah, that why we liked those nerds! Hey, Jim, start up the Good-Game Factory.").

Seriously, get over your gaming elitism. Just because you prefer your thumbs and eyeballs being the only things that move when you game doesn't make it the be-all and end-all. Thank goodness.
But, I wanna look down on all the nubs!

I think this is a pretty freaking great idea.

Think about it: You use the controller to move your guy as per the norm, right?
But you come up to a corner, and lean right on the couch and your guy leans right to peak around the corner. Lean left to peak left!
You run up behind an enemy and, while sitting on the couch, you kick your leg! On-screen, your characters leg comes up and boots the enemy right off a cliff.
Get a sweet kill in multiplayer? Press a button to enter 'free taunt' mode, which allows for 3 seconds of your character mimicing your 'booyah' happy dance.
(That last one would also be sweet for machinima)

As long as they don't over do it, and use to add and enhance an already solid mechanic, I think this could work very well.
That would be cool. What I was thinking, though, was them tracking our eyes, and aiming accordingly. Probably won't happen - or work - but it would be awesome.

as long as it isnt Natal only, then I wont mind, if they start doing that, I will be angry (not that I really do the whole Halo thing tbh)
