Halo Reach: The Good, the Badass, and the Ugly

The Halo: Reach multiplayer beta may be over, but that doesn't mean Bungie can't make a great video to celebrate the good times. Also, jetpacks.


It's no secret that is looking pretty cool [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/100239-Behold-35-Minutes-of-Jetpack-tastic-Halo-Reach-Multiplayer-Footage], and I'm not alone: According to Bungie's stats, over 2.7 million people participated in the multiplayer beta that lasted from the beginning of the month to May 21st.

And they've put together a video of some of the highlights, which you can also download on Xbox Live or get from Bungie.net [http://www.bungie.net/]. (Spoilers: Lots of people get shot and blown up.)

Incidentally, the title really makes me want to re-watch the Dollars trilogy, but that's neither here nor there.

Those were great.

I am excited about Reach, much more than I was about 2 or 3, it looks like they've recaptured the sense of fun that seemed to get a bit lost.

I won't celebrate until I hear about a great, long campaign. I'm sick of Halo single player taking a backseat to multiplayer. I want an epic sci-fi story, and so far I feel pretty skeptical about Reach.

Poor Bungie, they always try to make their songs and trailers 1:17 long and them YouTube and most major media players say that it's 1:18.

Nah, you didn't miss out on anything. Its the same old game with some mildly fun new tweaks like "perks" and new assasination animations.

I was very underwhelmed and I've always been a fan of Halo and its multiplayer. The series is getting stale now IMO.

Looks awesome, really loved the beta. CAN NOT WAIT for this game. -Gleee-

I'm just nervous about how many unlocks they are gonna be also, changing your armour through the campaign will probably make me feel all odd and all.

Kinda sad, which the protagonist was to talk more in this one, it was good in ODST, I liked the character centric story. (Even if Reach does like centric.)

It's looking pretty good. My brother is a big Halo fan, so no doubt I'll get to play it when he gets it for his 360.

Oh man the beta was a grand-ol' time.

Full of fun, laughs, and kids calling you gay and saying they had sex with your mother. Granted it was less than in MW2 or other Halo titles, so thats a plus (in my experience at least).

Gameplay looks good, trailer rather mediocre. I'm not saying every trailer should get your adrenalin pumping, but the pacing of it was a little off. Little heart shape next to Bungie...how endearing .

I personally loved the beta and made the Halo universe go out a buy some more gold subscription so I could play it

However there were a few bugs but I guess it's called a beta for a reason

looks pretty cool but I think Im gonna wait to get it, I got the legendary halo 3 at launch and it was way to short for how much I paid for it (I dont have gold) and it got cheap at frys pretty quick so I might be able to get the big version of this there for cheap at some point
