Hard Reser: Exile now live.

So some of us might remember about half a year ago that Hard Reset, a deliciously cyperpunk throwback to old style shooters, was to get an extended edition at some point.

Well after Steam notified me of finishing a download for Hard Reset i went to the news page to find out that it was the upcoming DLC.

The DLC is free to all owners of Hard Reset and now appears to be included with the game should you be tempted to buy it now.

As for whats going on storywise, its hard enough to tell what was going on by the end of the original game, and its just gone 1am here so ive got no time to see for myself just yet.

Gameplay wise the DLC promises 5 new levels, 4 new enemy types, a new boss fight and 2 new survival maps.

So, any shared thoughts on this?

Apparently it also has a performance boost which is very nice, and a good chunk of extra content is always awesome, and if you haven't got the game yet the whole thing is $15.
There is also a demo available if you aren't sure.

I still hope there is a bigger expansion pack in the works, because this game needs a slightly bigger overhaul to bring on the pedestal of FPS legends.
Right now they just aren't doing the lighting right, this isn't a horror game so making it all dark doesn't add atmosphere it just hinders gameplay because you can't make out the terrain or enemies until they nibble on your face, plus the far too narrow corridors, and the weapons having almost no distinguishing features, makes the player rely far too much on trial and error rather then skilled shooting.
