Incoming Critism Deflect: While the question in this thread arose from a political discussion, this is not a political discussion. Any names/races/factions are used purely for example or clarity purposes, and are not/are not to be used to express personal opinions or grievances. Thank you.

Earlier today I was having a discussion with someone, and during the discussion, I stated I did not care for Israel and didn't really think it benefits anyone by it contunied existance or actions.

At this point this person called me "anti-semtitic". I told him this was untrue; I hold nothing against Jewish people or the religion itself (at least, nothing I don't hold against every religion), just the state. He said it was true, because by not liking the state I automatically don't support its people, who are Jewish.

So, what is your opinion? Can someone dislike a faction, but not its people?

Yes policy is not always the people. You could hate wicca but not hate me. You could hate Canada but not me. So it's fair to hate a state and not the people.

Well, alot of Christians arent bigots, but just naive and weak. If the bigots in power were to be removed and Christianity became respectable, your everyday Christian would follow suit.

You can say that, yes, but sometimes if you say the reason is something relating to the people, that sounds a bit worse... Obviously...

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I dislike Christianity and Judaism and Islam and really any religion but I cant bring myself to dislike the people who believe in it, even those that are really into it as long as they arnt trying to bring everyone else down to their level
